Will always love the club but Demetriou and co. are killing my love of the game. I'm in team Flags or bust . Seen 2 Melbourne GFs , got smashed in both. Getting to the big dance and coming away empty in both has changed me. Second place will never do it for me. If I knew we would never win another , it would be over.

They'd played us the same way during home & away games for the previous 15 years. The fact many were surprised they did it to us in a GF is what staggered me .

No-one likes being told that they're past it. Especially when earning several hundred grand per year. I have no issue with what went down with any player of late. Junior included. From what I understand, he was told early in his last year that it would be his last. He just didn't believe them.

My optimism lies from watching the "Americas Game" series in the off season last year. Each show was about a the year of a Superbowl winning team of different years. Many went from easybeats to Superbowl winners in a year or 2 with some astute trading and buy in to new coaches/game plans etc. from players. I feel we can be in the same position as long as we can trade in some quality. Our list is young, we have the facilities and FD, all we need is for Neeld to prune the list and draft intelligently for his needs.

I like to hear why. I see very few redeeming features. Their arrogant president has the biggest mouth in the league. AFLs golden child and treated like it. Unbearable supporters. And the list goes on........
