I think the same way about when we nabbed ourselves going above the salary cap. Paid big money to crocs like Lyon and Schwarz who couldn't get on the field. Then dobbed ourselves in. The thing that sh!ts me is that we get the tanker tag when Collingwood picked up both Dale Thomas and Scott Pendlebury in the 2005 draft at pick 2 & 5. This is after 2 consecutive GFs in 2002 - 3. After a poor start in 2005 they decided their season was done , didn't play key players and lost the last 11 games straight. The only reason they didn't get pick 1 is carlton beat them to it. Carlton managed to snare Murphy, Gibbs and finally Kruezer in the "Krueser Cup" during consecutive years from 2005-2007. As for West Coast, like Collingwood , played in 2 consecutive GFs actually winning it in 2006. Yet in 2008 are that woeful that they pick up Nik Nat with pick 2. All this evidence against other clubs and yet it us who no-one disputes were/are totally crap are labelled "the tankers."

After being bombarded with 3 weeks of Tour de France I couldn't give 2 hoots about the road racing. I'm up for the velodrome stuff tho' , very entertaining. What to say about Magnusson , too much hyping himself up IMO. All the talk pre Olympics of him swimming "Scary fast" etc and then a massive choke in the 4x100. I love the Olympics . Watching peoples life dreams turn to reality in the thrill of victory or dissolve in the agony of defeat really strikes my cord. I'm not really fussed on who wins during these games apart from Sally Pearson . She been tearing it up for a few years now and I hope she can bring it home on the biggest of days for her. Only takes a dodgey hurdle or 2 to buck it all up tho'. I'll be interested seeing how Magnussun goes also. Obviously doesn't mind heaping the pressure on himself. Again, you only have to be abit off in a mad sprint to get done. Was interested reading about the sexploits of the Olympians in the age the other day.
