    I understand your thinking. but if we get Whitfield (don't know much about him,but presume a skinny kid) and with Viney (solid build and a go getter). I don't think the draft number is that important.......If we bluff and Viney turns out the superior player how dumb are we going to look.......Skully was touted as the No 1 pick for about a year before he was drafted and look at Martin and a few others picked later in the draft. ......As I said don't know much about the kids in the upcomming draft but I believe we have commited to Viney and believe he will be a great choise.........Most poker players that bluff get beaten.....And god help us if we stuff this up...

    The velvet sledgehammer...Is good at telling players what to do and where to stand ect.....He will tell you that he has never made a mistake or played a bad game in his life......Same as David King......Much better players since they retired.....

    Mate I've been going and supporting the Dee since 1960....I saw the last premiership.......I still can't wait for every season to start in the belief that this will be our year.....Same will happen next year and the next......My age tells me thing turn eventually....Stay strong...

    Used to love going to the footy at night,but I won't go now due to the drunks and foul language (am not a prude)It used to be a great night out for me and the kids,great atmosphere, Pity but such is the way nowadays.......I was taught not to swear in front of women...now they are the worst....

    As much time as it takes unfortunately.....What else are you going to do........All Moloney's manager has said is that he would be mad not to test the waters....That's all.....And I think any player on the FA list would be doing that.....We now have a very professional coaching system in place and we are learning a defensive game plan.....We are 2 years behind other sides who have already learned it and are implementing it.....It is the way you win finals games.......Lets not be to depressed,it will turn......

    Norm Smith was criticised when he lost 7 games in a row...........Mark Thompson was almost sacked just before they won two flags .......How about we all just settle down and wait......Too many drama queens on here.

    Connolly has nothing to do with the players now.......CS has to job of running the club....which has demolished a 5 million dollar debt....The board has spent money on the FD and brought in a very professional team which are 6 months into their tenure....I understand it is very frustating......It's about the players understanding a defensive mindset which will win games and finals not just look pretty every now and then....We will suck it up and we will go forward even if you can't see it now......By the way CS is not responsible for how the players play.......Connolly was has the best record as a coach at Freo........

    May have had a bad game but no player does on purpose. Unless you can do better don't get personal and call players representing your club 'Cretin'.....I understand the frustration.......but surley you are better than this.....

    What the hell is blaming every one going to do????? Mistake have occured.....Learn from them and move on........You cant wallow in the past or you will be bound to repeat the same mistakes

    That was the trouble with CS wasn't it???? White board Wed was attempting to give the members an insight to the runnings of the club. It was up to FD to give feedback to the players and tell them what to work on was it not????????

    While I agree there maybe some one better.....The draft is not an exact science....What happens if we let Viney go and the great player we pick turns out to be a dud????? The devil you know............Demonland would be in an uproar that we didn't take Viney

    Can we please find a new whipping boy and just let Jack develop. All the naysayers pick up on every mistake he makes, and say he will never make it, all the pro watts people pick up on every good thing he does and say he will be a star some day. How about we just sit back and see what happens. He will have good days and bad the same as every player in the AFL. We all want him to be a champion right now but he is a young man still learning his craft as all 21 year olds in the AFL are doing. Weather he 'gets it' will become apparent in the next few years. When one side can say "I told you so'.

    Very dangerous to bluff and risk losing the player you have put 2 years into.......for the sake of 1 draft pick....

    A very good point.......and you see other young blokes at other teams play one great game and the media go beserk and call him a champion of the future and in the next month he is playing back in the VFL and nothing is said.......With the resourse now at the MFC and the time and money put in to developing these players all bode for a better time ahead.......Look at Gysberts, two great games to start his career but then had to go back to learn his craft........It will happen....but it will take time.

    The draft is a lottery in any year. I would be astounded if we did not take Viney(at least we know what he is like) to gamble on another kid for the sake of a draft pick.
