The situation is not too different from '87. We are a young team on the rise in the last half,hoping for wins we can and can't control ,to give us the last available finals spot on %. There is a core of talent in this team that look more gifted than '87. We had Newport,Lyon,Rigoni,Lovett ,Lovell,Flower,Stynes,O'Dwyer ,Hughes ,Viney,Stretch ,Johnson and Yeats who were all solid but Lyon seemed like the only real star(and Robbie) who was bandaged up like a rag doll.Stinga was injured from memory. And in both years,assuming we do the Blues and North do the right thing,it will come down to a game at the Cattery.
