Anyway what can anyone do with him? This guy supposedly "bled for the club" (so happy we wont have to hear that cliche anymore btw,) yet ended his career with us at Casey. We were a third-world midfield, and if you can't dominate in that, let alone play good, then there are some major issues with either your game or your psyche- either way you are a damaged player. Beamer is a good person and he served us for many years, it is very hard to see a person in a negative light if 90% of the time they did the best they could for your club- so I actually do wish him luck, obviously not against us, not going to boo him or anything but I will always think what could have been. Moloney could have easily been a one club player and been a role model and mentor to the next batch of superstars coming through- instead he threw in the towel. Tragedy

Really want Wines. I feel that if we pass up on him we will always be tracking him- forever contemplating just how a midfield combo like Viney and Wines would have been all conquering and we missed out. We can get the inside mid business sorted in this draft. And by sorted I mean sorted with two quality hard-at-it 10 year players. Give that opportunity to any list and they would jump at it. See what classy outside mids are available next year as we will have a good pick in 2013 as well. I expect with the inclusion of Byrnes, and eventually Barry we can develop Blease into that running outside mid with flair.

Wow, watched the highlights package, the kid has some skills. Reminds me of Travis Johnstone. I'd take that, skill wise. Could be a very handy pick up if he increases his strength. The application is definitely there. Strikes me as a kid who would love to repay the club's faith.

Something doesn't seem right to me with this pick 13 business. How sure are you that it is part of the Hogan trade? It doesn't make sense to me why GC pay less for MD1. I'm getting a sick feeling that if pick 13 is gone, GC have it. And we have a player that doesn't want to be on our list. Someone tell me it can't be possible.

Has to be 13 to GC for Caddy. I bet that was the sweetheart agreement with GC to pass. They will probably announce it later so it seems like it just happened naturally. That's my bet.

That would be fine too. I would be unhappy about missing out on Hogan but the whole point of the exercise for me is that we don't get screwed, and I now believe we won't. All we can go by is the price for MD1 has been set and we now know what the appropriate remuneration is for MD2- (a hint- it's less than 2 picks in the top 15)

GC parted with #2 for MD1- so how does #3 & 13 make any sense. Especially when #3 is the next best available pick. Can't believe people are still stressing out about hypothetical which will not occur. Take a chill pill and relax for a bit, enjoy today's win. Getting Viney into round 2 has restored my faith in this club's ability to be a little shrewd. I laugh at these preposterous trades where we clearly get screwed. MFCSS still?...
