Can I be on "Pedo's" bandwagon or is it best I stay away from any wagons belonging to the Peed's? Seriously we can't make this his nickname. Way too Auskick user unfriendly. I'm going to call him "Link" for the role he was given "link forward and ruck" and I feel he will play as a link from mid-field to the forwards- a genuine CHF in every sense of the word. I have watched every bit of vision of Pedo's that I can find and I can't see anything I don't like. I cannot believe that North let him go without giving him a go, this will turn around to bite them. Super impressed with this guy's attitude. Go read the interview over at the club website. If you want to know what a Neeld kind of player is, well it begins with an attitude like the big Pedo's. Honestly- he looks like a natural. He has that heir of effortlessness about him. I rate his skills but even more so I rate his attitude and willingness to always improve himself and play to the best of his abilities. That is what makes a good player and that is why we wanted him in this team. I'm laying it on the line now- Zig is going to be a star for us! I am extremely excited about how this new setup is going to work and can't wait to see this in action. I now fully understand why we traded Martin for an empty tic-tac bottle- with the pedo he is pure clog now.

Our lackluster compo killed off any chance of securing Ray IMO. I understand the clearance of duds- perhaps we could have been a little more patient and gotten more for the trades but that is just nit-picking. We achieved what we set out to do and that is clear dead-wood and recruit some robust experience. We moved on more players than I thought we would, but I can honestly say I don't regret any of the losses and look forward to seeing how this new team works together!

So they are young, big deal. So is Viney. Compare application between the 4. Actually don't, it's too embarrassing to even contemplate. Anyway best of luck to them. If they can make it in another outfit doesn't change the fact that they shown nothing with us- and that is all that matters. Improve the list or die. I think that is my motto now. Yeah I like it!

LOL! This club and the posters here have moved past waiting for potential to come to fruition, get with the times. If it's broken, fix it. Neeld is attempting to do that by moving on those that don't contribute and replacing them with players that will make an impact from day dot. Day dot starts now. I am going to look forward to having a more competitive team, you can stew over the loss of prospects that never prospered if you like.

If we're using all those late picks I just hope to God that we are aware of talent DEEP into this draft. I sincerely hope having a stop-gap head of recruiting isn't gong to bite us on the bum! This draft, and the next, are crucial for our future. If we can uncover even just one jem ala another Tommy Mac, Swan, Hird (asking too much) I will consider this a win.

He's upset that his Trengove trade didn't go through

In the space of two years we have gone from effectively no forward line, to having a world class FF, a solid foil in Dawes, a third tall in the Pedo, a future FF/CHF in Hogan, and two experienced smalls. That's no options forward of 50 to a complete attacking line filled with permanent options and depth. It has been locked down for the next 5 years at least. Massive win. From now on drafts are midfield centric with a look at filling remaining holes, as opposed to bridging major gaps in structure. Again- this is a win. We will have many forward options whilst some clubs have none. We will stretch every backline in the comp. That's a win before you even step on the park.

Disaster? We traded out Gysberts and Martin- one who has potential but struggles with intensity, and one who is athletic but struggles with footy smarts- both were not regular 22 in a lowly team like ours. Hardly a "disaster" in any language. A disaster is losing required players.

If he can have a couple of injury free seasons with us we will benefit from his pace and tenacity, we will be a better team for it and that's all I care about. If it's a bust we didn't spend anything substantial. I guess when the club said they would leave "no stone unturned" they really meant it. Anyway good luck to him, if all this means is we don't have to see lackluster performances from our other small forwards than that is a win by itself.

I suppose we can look forward to a few twilight games versus interstate teams, probably at Etihad. Ace.
