Can we bundle all our compo picks up and turn it into one kick-arse pick like that? I would have thought all our players lost through FA would have been worth a copy of Dolly magazine and a half eaten Twirl.
-
Would cost us a crack at Hogan, so pass. Save the "war chest" for OOC from gWS next year!
-
I really hope Jamar is injury free next year but given his year this year I'm not holding my breath. If we lose Martin we must be confident either Gawn or Spencer can stand up, or we must have a replacement we are considering in the draft

I feel happy for the Swans, makes me realise how absolutely awesome it would feel if my dees ever won a flag. Almost feel jealous of them. This is where we need to get to. Please Neeld make this happen! PS suck [censored] Hawks

Let's not over pay though. Really can't see Wellingham having the same impact as Clark. Would be happy with excess player swap. Let's just keep the "war chest" (haha) for bigger and better things. I want the "war chest" (lol) opened when GWS players come out of contract. Hello Cameron!

Love Brownlow night. A chance to re-watch our failure round by agonizing round.
-
I would hope a player like Membrey was already on our radar and this game has done nothing but bring him to the masse's (our) attention. Smoky for #13?
-
not if you end up with a timid womanizer.
-
I would actually prefer anyone else, and that includes Fevola. Please keep this train-wreck of a bloke away from the club.

Bribery. I like it. Although I can't blame them. Many times at the G the highlight of the afternoon for me was the donuts. And the booze. Anyway when I have a kid, his or her room will be adorned with Demon paraphernalia. I'm talking pictures of demons, footballs, maybe Garry being carried off on a stretcher. When they grow up they will either be Demon supporters or they will be demon worshiping goths. Here's hoping the former!

And for all those suggesting Tippet- I'd like him but only if he was a FA. I think we should use our high end picks in a way that gets us Hogan and Viney into the second round.
-
I'd say we need two good midfielders (3 would be nice) and two good forwards (tall and small) and we'd be pretty much right. We have a passable backline, just our midfield and forward line need beefing up. If we draft right this year (why it is so massive for us) we can go a good way to fixing all these problems. We potentially have 3 first round draft picks (that is massive) and throw in Viney. This could be our superdraft. I think if all goes well in this years draft we could see finals 2014 for sure. So all things going well I'd say we can turn around this train-wreck of a team in this off season.

Your trade scenarios always make me weep. Pick 4 for Vickery and 9? Pick 9 for Caddy? Please stop! -

I'm tipping pick #3 would be a better deal than pick 5 and whatever player they can afford to offload. Surely they wouldn't go "crazy" and offer 5&6 for him... The question is how do we beat pick #2 (from GC if they fail to get Tippet?) Is there a chance Tippet will stay in Adelaide? Hogan is a must. Failing that we need Grundy. GWS will surely go Whitfield, Grundy 1&2, so we might need to pay overs for MD1. Tippet is key! -
Is KB on the selection panel for the AA? He has a major hardon for Nik Nat. Watch Nik Nat win the mark of the year too. You heard it here first

It won't be pick 13 for Caddy, it will be pick #13 for Caddy and a live pick #4 -

That would be a disastrous trade! Pick 3 is our ticket to Hogan and our chance to atone for the Darling/Cook drafting fiasco of yesteryear. You don't deal high picks for any kind of packages. How about pick 13 for Caddy alone. It's the highest pick they are likely to get for him and considering there is likely to be potential left at #13 they won't lose much. So we get an AFL ready hard at it inside mid (I hope) who can impact round 1, and a bonus early pick (as viney passed on), and they get the highest pick they could have got for a player who wanted to leave anyway. -
Really haven't seen much of Caddy at all, but for those who have, how would he rate if he was at Melbourne? Better than Chunk? I feel if he could impact in our midfield and all it took was pick #13 to get him & an understanding that Viney is off limits- then go for it. I'll back the club with this call but would love if any posters know anything about him. Had a look at his 2010 highlights- although from 2 years ago he looked very handy. Could Viney and Caddy combo strike fear in the hearts of opposition. Need more info on Caddy someone please

Martin is not the reason we are a lowly team. You have this obsession with trading. How about you analyze our ruck stocks before you decide to trade any of the out.
-
anyone else think his other mark was better?

Outdated tune, where's the pitbull version already ffs. In any case, I feel "girt" is an under-utilized word. I'm going to work it into a conversation tomorrow. I'll let you know how I go!

Worded it wrong- I meant that GC wouldn't be able to use pick 2 to bid on Viney or involve themselves in the MD, because they would have to give it to Adelaide. -
Fact of the matter is if we trade Martin and Jamar gets injured, its Spencil and Gawn or Sellar or whatever combination they can come up with. I'd rather Martin. Would hate to see Martin tearing it up as first ruck for another team. That one would hurt. especially if it's the Pies!

Predatory like the predator in the movie of the same name, or predatory like a hungry lion going after an injured deer? Then there are the predators who hang around public toilets and playgrounds, obviously you don't mean those kinds
