People not wanting to come to the dees ends next year, when they realize what playing in a team with Viney means. Am I happy? Absolutely over the moon. We got Hogan and Viney, I am wrapped! We are instantly a better team without kicking a ball. Now MFC finish off this dream result for me, and get Wines and Viney together- leading by example, showing the rest of the team how it's done. What a day!

We also need a second KPF and we have just locked one in for the next 10 years. Bigger picture stuff!

It's a stupid deal and we should be ashamed if we stoop that low for such a marginal advantage. I won't believe we would do it. It's a deal involving a player or a later pick, but if they want 4 for Caddy I would dob them in for draft tampering myself! Pricks! I find it funny though that everyone thought GC were going to be nice about this a few weeks ago and noone thought they would bid.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but does anyone know how the bidding for these picks works? Do we know what we have to beat for MD#1, is the bidding an open process is what I'm getting at

We are paying 4 for Caddy because whilst using 4 gets us to nab Viney with 26, we still lose 4! The whole point of getting Viney into the second round is so we can have our first two picks to use on other kids. We either find another way to get Viney into the second round or GC can eat a d!ck. You know what I hope happens? I hope we promise them the world to pass on Viney, then when trade time comes we just give em the old, whatcha' talkin' 'bout Willis routine and watch them cry.

It isn't exactly a deal that would have me jumping for joy though.. you see all it really means is we get Caddy for 26. Same outcome as having pick 4 and using 3 on Viney- instead we use 26 on Viney (win in principle yipee..) lose pick 4. and gain Caddy. Effectively we are trading pick 4 for Caddy, because even if that pushes Viney to second round- we are left with only pick #3 after that deal. Either way if there is any advantage at all it would be negligable, i'd rather they stick that offer and come up with something that doesn't involve pick 4. I'd rather take him with 3 and use 4 as the end result will be the same and they can keep a player that doesn't want to be with them (caddy) and suck on it. Plus I want Hogan, and we may need number 4 for that. If GC get their hands on #4 they will use it for him, and we will regret it. Basically if GC want something to pass on Viney it aint going to be an early pick, I'd be very [censored] with this

That would be getting bent over and if the MFC agreed to this I would be dissapointed. Surely there are other ways of getting GC to pass without giving up pick 4 for such a marginal advantage.

lol pick 4 to GCS totally negates the advantage of getting Viney through to the second round.

Unfortunately football passed him by last year, so not looking too good for him. Only really here because he is still under contract otherwise he would have been shwon the door with Green etc, from the outside looking at his onfield persona I don't think he is a "Neeld" kind of player, and if we are to toughen up we have to realise that Davey can't get too many games because he is a liability now.

Lol I always picture Viney running out for his debut- fit and raring to go- looking good, confident- hitting the bags HARD, and then boom- the ground opens up and swallows him whole. I take a sip of my beer, say "cheers god mate" and normality ensues as I return to my normal state of being a depressed, hopeless dees supporter.

Oh no we have to wait one whole year to play what might be the next Jonno Brown for the next 10 or so.. I don't think we can wait that long- being a club that is used to that winning feeling, and all...

No trading of first round picks please- we could get someone very handy there. Even if we get Viney in the second round, we need to squeeze all the quality we can out of this draft. If they want Martin they can straight swap for Dawes. I think that's fair. No #13, and who the [censored] is Rounds?

3 days.... So when we get Viney can we scrub all the Viney threads which are 90% speculation and start off fresh, with a new Viney thread, heralding all that is our new savior, or what?

So would I. If I representing Melbourne and all the other clubs and myself were struggling to outrun a crowd of hungry zombies I would have no hesitation shooting other clubs in the knee so I could escape and the hoard would descend upon them and devour them. Melbourne first- all other clubs can die for all I care. That's just how it is son.

They are like us, but based in Adelaide lol. Can't hate them, they are our struggling ugly cousins.

It's no Lyon, Farmer, Schwartz, but it's better than what we have now. Throw Hogan in there and all of a sudden we have potency.
