  1. Wouldn't get a touch in an intra-club game!
  2. Unfortunately Tex needs a run in the SANFL Destroyed in the midfield. Gibbs, Sloane, Matt Crouch all well beaten. We need class players like Brayshaw and Oliver. Time for Don Pyke to go I think. Its now time to drop Tex and bring in the FOG at least he tries. Jacobs, Betts and Gibbs will #cryasonetonight. Go blues. Seriously a better team WITHOUT Tex It just would have been funny if Melbourne had back to back chokes. This rabble of a club melb is closer to a flag than us. Let that sink in. Season was done 6 weeks ago but still dissapointing to put a half arsed effort in against a [censored] side like Melbourne. We are nowhere near it at the moment and Melbourne play the kind of footy that we hate. I would say the time is right to make Sloane captain but he is pathetic under a tag Gotta give it to the dees. They’re hard at it Melbourne have a premiership in them over the next 3 years. Hard to say but true. It's incredible how we can make one of the shittest players in the AFL (Melksham) look good. Walker is a dud captain That dribbler = Monfries 2.0 Thanks Steven Trigg. You have left an everlasting imprint on this club you campaigner.
  3. Queanbeyan Demon = watched different game.
  4. Doctors are generally pretty dump Wiseblood. Possibly have higher than average IQs - but even that has been discredited as a formula for predicting intelligence. You are the one who should know better Wiseblood . . . fancy coming to 'Land for sensible and wise insight!
  5. The deal that bought Bayley Fritsch to the club is pure genius We continue to be well run and stable off the field We are not coached by Lyon, Richardson, Boulton or Dew.
  6. Faaaaarrrrrrrrrrrk! Bernie & Jordon are not the problem. sheeez. can't believe the lack of supporter smarts sometimes.
  7. From an impeccable source . . . Gaff has been offered six million over seven years by a Victorian club (not us) with lots of cash. Contract would be substantially front loaded. A number of Victorian clubs are right into Jeremy McGovern as well. Don't know if we are one of them.
  8. Big Demon makes a good point about Brayshaw. I'd be happy to package Brayshaw and Hogan up as a package and send them to Princess Park for Murphy. Probably concede we'll need a sweater for Carlton, so prepared to pay half of Hogan's salary in 2019 as well.
  9. A PHD wouldn't cut it.
  10. There's been some astute observations in this thread . . . but surely this is the funniest.
  11. Correct. Another brilliant post.
  12. brilliant post.
  13. Now Tommy is locked away . . . I'd love us to go to Jess and say "right . . . it's us or Ross Lyon. Here's a pen, here's the contract, six years, $1.2m per year indexed for inflation from 2020-26".
  14. Where does Dom's future lie?
  15. They are now all experts in the recent history of the MFC. Almost all the commentators, analysts and opinion shapers have made major blues. For example: "ANB has been great all year" "Hunt is superb by foot" "Jones has become a wonderful captain . . . " And on it goes.
  16. One of the few sensible comments on this thread.
  17. Yep . . . Jack was always reasonable one-on-one in an open forward line with minimal pressure. The key learning from this is that the Dorkers won't be playing in this year's Grand Final.
  18. What??? Really???
  19. So many opinions . . . so little knowledge.
  20. What an appauling thread.
  21. Harry's calls of the 1977 finals series when Snake Baker and Tiger Crosswell tore it up were absolutely brilliant. He was a big influence on many that came after him including Hunt, Newman, Sheedy and Lane. A naive entrepreneur - led him to innovate brilliantly but get mixed up with some total tools as well. And yes, his son Brad (who also umpired at VFL level), is a mad Dee. I'm led to believe he might even frequent 'land every now and then. The Big H also had a soft spot for the Deez and certainly loved the idea of "Brasso" coming 'home' in 1981. Harry had a brilliant footy brain and was respected by many of the game's greatest players and coaches. That's a great legacy and compliment.
  22. At a footy clinic during 2016, kids asks "how are you?". Max, "pretty good for a legend".
