WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
From my brother a Dockers member and another mate also a member both virtually said the same thing Kicking is not great, but has improved the last couple of years with him getting fitter and less fatigued His gut running is going to be hard to replace(especially with Hill also going) he just brings others into the game with the options and space he creates. A steal for a player they both see as still on the up

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Nah he'll stay at Carlton for life, country boy who didn't spend much time in Perth and from what I've heard, absolutely loves living in Melbourne but why wouldn't you. Great City especially on his wage

Can't remember who mentioned McKay but I'd give Carlton 3 and 26 for 9 and Mckay

Unless something comes up really good I'm expecting us to hold firm till draft night. Once the indicative draft order is soughted, clubs will start putting their feelers out as to who's taking who. They generally have a fair idea who's takiing which player in the top 10 and once that's known I think we might get some offers in for 3 in live trading

Not when we were up and running they weren't. Hoges was good in the first half of the season until injuries kicked in Garlett virtually won us the game up at the Gabba in Round 3 but wasn't a big factor in the season, from Anzac round onwards Melksham, Hannan, Spargo, Kent and AVB were the important ground level forwards in 2018

Agree, but the usual suspects couldn't help themselves on the Frost thread.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Pathetic post, stereotyping. You know absolutely nothing about me or my background, if you did you'd understand how ridiculous your comments were about me, my parents and Grandparents are. I've seen and lived poverty mate, but it pales into insignificance to what my parents and grandparents went through. Absolute garbage

Why are the Saints so attractive?
They're going very aggressive which may bite them. Think they are still a fair way off and would be better served to continue topping up and focus on Ben King next season. Still pick up a few through trade but 5 when you have little to give

They've nailed their mid to late 1st and 2nd rounders in Cripps, Fisher, Mckay and SPP to add to the mix, consider this now with the Kelly trade gone though Pick 3 for 14, 17 and 24. Hold out for 30 for Frost Use 14, 17, 22 and 24 in the draft, you should end up with at least 3 from Taylor, Weightman, Sharp, Robertson, Bergman, Bianco and I would suspect one of the highly touted players to slide Use 30 for Langdon

I actually love the way they've built their list. Excellent spine, good ball users and outside run. They'll be a serious side 2022 onwards

If you understand footy you understand the ball moves quicker than any player ever will. There's a reason why clubs don't recruit 100m athletes

Farewell Sam Frost
I watched the game intently as I do every GF, I also had a wager on Hannaberry to win Norm, so remember the game well. I recall Morton playing well and bagging two important 2nd quarter goals one with a cheeky balk, but please he wasn't even close to being in the running for the medal

Farewell Sam Frost
Ryan O'Keefe 12 votes Brad Sewell 7 votes Buddy 5 votes Dan Hannaberry 5 votes Jarrad Mcveigh 1 vote Not even in the calculations

Farewell Sam Frost
Steven Armstrong, Brett Jones, Mitch Morton, David OHalloran, Stuart Anderson, Aaron Keating, Richard Hadley, Andrew Eccles, Paul Bevan, Jonathan Simpkin Absolute stars of the game, FMD all depth players and all in the right place at the right time

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Wright lacks mobility IMO to be a good key forward. Not good below his knees and more of a ruckman who they've tried to turn into a forward in his junior years
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Do you actually think before you post, Clarko is a good coach, so with the likes of Smith, Henderson, Impey and Scully who he rotated across the wings this season, he will use Frost and also drop the 2 rucks of Ceglar and Big boy that he went with for most of last season

Phantom Drafts
Yeah without the TAC cup here they are able to hide them with only cameo appearances in the Champs and the PSA boys being tied to their school footy so much you only get to see them occasionally in WAFL Colts. There's a lot of very good young boys starting to come through here now, the mining boom saw a big baby boom between 2004 and 2010, which co-incided with greater emphasis going into development across the board.

Tom Papley
nup 3 for Gaff and 14 they may take it because 3 and next year's 1st rounder will get them Kelly

Phantom Drafts
I like him he's not a superstar but he knows how to find the footy and oozes workrate, He's not unlike Joel Selwood in terms of his leadership, desire to get the best out of himself and put his body on the line. Not quite as good but the potential is there. The Eagles and Freo would both snap him up with their second round pick.

Phantom Drafts
Well said WJ, the WA crop this year is a very good bunch, youve got small forwards in Taylor and Henry and Taylor is a strong overhead mark. Quality players and leaders in Robertson and Rivers, Sharp is very good by foot and in decision making, whilst Jackson is a ruckman with good skills for a bigman and another leader
-
Jamie Elliott
He and his management have played it very well, will have an increased offer from the Pies with triggers for a 3rd year if he stays fit. I'm glad we didn't go desperate and up the offer to 4 years. Something will have to give at Collingwood next year
-
Jamie Elliott
you forgot to mention it's the ripple effect of their 2019, finals campaign.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
With Langdon and Tomlinson we increase our running power, Langdon has far greater speed but picking up a couple of two way running types clears a big void in our game last season. Greater run and spread opens up many options across the ground

2019 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
If Sharp, Weightman and Taylor are all still available at those picks, expect to see some live trading occurring. I'd hope we look at live trading if any of them were available at those picks, fill a number of needs
