WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Not that long ago STMJ But paragraph 2 of the bolded may offer a light bulb moment of hope

Caleb Serong (Drafted by Fremantle)
Well said DD, good to know there's a few options with the pick, I'm sure the FD are sorting through our needs projecting forward with contracts list age profile on mind as consideration to weigh up on who to go with and making the call.

Caleb Serong (Drafted by Fremantle)
DD and AF from your posts over the years you both appear to know footy, but for the life of me I can't figure out why you respond to this idiot. Review the threads where this troll puts bait out, with no response the threads die

Dr Peter Brukner
I hope your quote wasn't in Ernest

Good to see some more experience in the strength, conditioning and medical side of the FD. Well done to JM continuing to go about his business But the lunatic fringe still want him gone because he was around for 186

Jack Martin
Believe there may be issues between Martin and May adding to the mix
-
Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)
I'm hoping they are at the G as I'll be back for that week
-
Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)
Anzac Eve and can't see them making us travel the week before

Phantom Drafts
I do like Kemp AF as you know, but very keen to get in one of Young and Stephens
-
Splitting Draft Pick 3
Nup, one expected to go top 6 may slide and be available at 8. Take the best available
-
Jacob Townsend
Stuart Anderson, who Freo recruited after the 96 Flag thinking he would bring some experience All he brought was a lack of work ethic and exposure to how limited his ability was when not surrounded by stars
-
Brodie Kemp (drafted by Carlton)
My thoughts exactly on Kemp, Stephens, Robertson or who we take
- Farewell to Jay Kennedy-Harris & Billy Stretch
-
Tom Green (Drafted by GWS Giants)
Yep, love to come away with Young and Kemp/Stephens
-
Tom Green (Drafted by GWS Giants)
Sydney will nominate Green, no question about it I think Adelaide will take Stephens and Freo will take Jackson Not sure who Sydney will take possibly Kemp as a big bodied mid to replace Kennedy I'd take Young at 3 and Kemp if available at 8. By bidding for Green we will ensure one Kemp, Ash, Serong or Flanders available at pick 8

Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)
Pretty much my thoughts

What to do with what is now Pick 74?
Ex Tiger OD, whose playing in the SANFL with Glenelg. Key Forward. Although I believe we are showing some interest in and have interviewed Ben Sokol from Subiaco. Another forward OD but not that tall, more of a medium size. Kicked 60 in the WAFL this season

How do you rate our trade period?
We only missed out on Elliott who we were after but didn't offer him a mega deal. On face value a B+ for me. Improved our list but what we do with 3 & 8 and how those players are performing in 3 to 4 years determines how we fared in this trade period

Jack Martin
I'll tell you why it's a salary issue, he's reportedly looking for $650-700k per season. What has he done to earn that, nothing but potential and he's not a ball winning mid or key position player. It sets a bad precedent paying overs for a player who's not fully committed to the club Trac, Fritsch and Harmesy are all up for renewal next year. What do you say to them. I maintain my stance, chase him by all means but don't be negligent. If Blues want to throw coin at him he hasn't earned so be it

2019 AFL National Draft Thread
If it were my choice Pick 3 after the Green Bid Hayden Young - like his penetrating kick, could be very valuable in transition Pick 8 - Brodie Kemp has so much versatility and despite the knee injury I would take the punt on him.
-
Splitting Draft Pick 3
if they are only moving 2 places up the (10 for 8)draft we'd need to trade the 2020 second rounder we acquired for their 2020 first round selection

Liam Mcbean?

Why would you draft a player who doesn't want to play for you and he's already shown he doesn't perform in an environment where he's not happy. I'm all for us trying at the right price, get Nev and Flash to meet and chat with him. If he's still adamant he doesn't want to come then don't take him
