Not sure who it was on here but they are not Robinson Crusoe, opposition coaches are commenting on how they run out games, as do their 4th quarter performances support the argument. There are rumours floating around their fitness head (Burgess) has them doing a lot more running and it is a change from what footy departments have done in recent times. But it's a marathon not a sprint, whilst they look to be running hot now at some stage they may become fatigued or burnt out. But I would think they have enough runs on the board now to start rotating their list and freshen them up

Nev Jetta's family racially abused at Bulldogs game...
Pennant St Dee replied to hardtack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sorry Wyl he is right, speaking from years of experience interviewing people, especially the type of person who would stoop to this level will not be to forthcoming and the team being deducted the points would want to presented with a fairly decent brief of evidence to cop the penalty. Whilst in theory your idea puts the onus on the clubs, to many issues would arise. Name shame is another consideration, however you then have the problem of the young girl in the Goodes matter who is really to young to be understand the seriousness of what she is doing and naming and shaming her does nothing. Big issue with no easy solution -
No worries I'll be there with my two boys aged 6 & 8 who will be dressed in Pies & Dees gear. Sitting in the main stand
-
Not being across the rules fully where do we stand on taking it before the tribunal on getting it downgraded to low impact and what is the difference in it being negligent as opposed to reckless ?
-
I guess we just have to cop it, carry over points the issue but seriously the system is a joke when you get the same as a player gets for knocking somoene out

Yep understand that but even outside of game time SEN is not connecting, frequently getting the message of the server being down -
Cheers for that Chaser, I'm looking forward to WA vs Vic Metro in 2 weeks and getting a live view of Brayshaw. One of the WA boys I rated (Cody Grace) wont be appearing having done an ACL in training.

That was Riccuito and he would know having played a bit with Bernie

Lets not go there again or give any credibility to an unsubstantiated rumour. Check through the threads again and there were others 3-4 posters who were in that huddle when the alleged comment was made and they were all a lot more adamant then the poster who made that inference. FFS put it to bed -
Is he old enough to be drafted this year or are you talking 2015 draft

I remember watching telly last night after the Freo vs Geelong game and they were previewing Sunday on TV and I thought to myself you booked them in thinking the Tigers win was a foregone conclusion. Probably why the bookies had us also paying over $5 in a game which was 15th vs 17th. DD36 I think the wheel is turning and people are starting to take notice

I would say the best thing about this win and our last month is seeing the change in posts from fellow Dlanders such as yourself, Wyl and many of us who had lost hope. Not sure who said it this morning on radio, but whoever is playing Melbourne next week or in two weeks doesn't matter prepare yourself for a hard contest. I got on yesterday at $5.20 and thought we were in with a shot and it was at least worth a wager. The football world is starting to realise the easybeats of the last 2 years are gone And I saw my boys the Cardies beat top of the table Subiaco live yesterday old dee so 2 renditions of grand old flag in one day has been a long time since that happened

Never underestimate what confidence and self belief can do. Roos is in no small part responsible for so much, due to the faith he has shown in our players which is being rewarded

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 9
Pennant St Dee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
6.N.Jones 5.Howe 4.Tyson 3.Viney 2. Pedersen 1.Watts and there are some unlucky boys, big turnaround for us having to think hard about misses out on votes -
He is streets ahead of a 2012 AA ruckman in footy smarts who is being talked up as a potential 1 million pa player. whilst he has deficiencies Grundy IMO will succeed because he loves a contest and has half a footy brain which will see him succeed and supersede his dreadlocked overhyped opponent

Weren't they originally the Lions before the alignment with Richmond? -
Adelaide had the weeks rest as well, but don't get me wrong I personally think we are significantly better now than we were earlier in the year and I would back us to have beaten Meth Coast (still our worst performance by a long way) in the last 3-4 weeks. They are absolute front runners and loaded with downhill skiers
-
We got belted by Meth Coast who lost to Carlton but belted GWS who beat us. Every game is different
-
FMD please tell me again how good and injury free was Nick Reiwoldt in his first year, Dangerfield, Goodes, Hanneberry and more recently Talia. I think you lost credibility when you mentioned "Neeld could have kept his job" By the way have you actually seen Hogan play live
-
IMO Griffen can hurt a side a lot more than Grimes can and I would call this a break even at least
-
I'm not trying to be smart, as others have said to you Give it a rest

If that is the case I'd rather see Nate Jones go to him we have enough midfield depth now that if we can nullify their best weapon, Cross, Viney, Vince, Tyson and Bail/JKH with their occasional runs through the middle should see us right in this. Good chance for Jamar to have another win. If Jones goes to Cotchin they will still have to be aware of Jones being dangerous on the rebound, although to break the Tag they would move Cotchin forward. Should be interesting

Don't apologise maybe the mods could change the title of the thread and we could have VFL, SANFL & WAFL all in one. Not much from the weekend attended Perth vs Subiaco which was the most uninspiring game I have seen all season, Subi had the game in control after 20 mins into the first quarter when they banged on 5 unanswered goals. Perth mounted token fightbacks but Subi would just do enough to extend the lead again. Very few hard contests and tackles were down. Cale Morton racked up a large amount of possessions without putting his body on the line, it was that sort of game. Of possible draftees George Hampson was smooth and used the ball beautifully, he is really slight and pushing 23/4 years and was a great prospect as a teenager knee injuries ruined his chances and he did the hard yards at WAAFL before ending up at Subi. I doubt Hampson will be picked up but could be worth a rookie pick. Josh Deluca was composed with ball in hand and provided a few nice inside 50 entries, although as my post stresses at no time was he really under intense pressure when disposing by foot, one thing I will give him though is he has a great workrate, looks around 5ft 10 or thereabouts and at that size really doesn't have any x-factors which will make recruiters stand up and take notice. For Perth, Callum Collard was the only draft contender and really had little impact but the game really didn't help him. The kid I am looking at for 2015 draft is Greg Clark, this kid has size and just knows how to find the ball. The former junior KPP player is being turned into a good size mid and if the improvement at this rate continues he will be very sought after at the draft. Connor Wilkinson doing a bit in Subi's colts midfield and Chris Bryan getting a fair bit of the ball and uses it really well but just not sure that these two will develop physically to take the step up to the next level
