Eddie is going to be bad mouthing our club until we have contracted our next coach (unless it is MM in which case he will be badmouthing us for much longer...) Rumor has it that the mfc are thinking about offering a 2.8 mil for 4 years. Read on one of the news sites. Pretty massive. I'm thinking most of it will come in the first couple years while watts, trengove and co. are still young and paid accordingly, to keep us under the salary cap.

I'm a fan of big stef, very agile for a big guy and never stops trying. Very impressed with his improvement and his game against the bummers. He had more tap outs than all 3 of their ruckman combined not to mention his heap of disposals and clearances. Absolutely destroyed their ruck trio. On ya stef!

A mil a year only works out to be half a mil after tax. I'm guessing we could offer him half a mil a year just like green and flash. So its really only a couple hundred thou a year difference, which could easily be made up in sponsorship deals, and a player like Scully would definitely make some serious $ just as Judd does. I agree with previous comment that sponsorship would be much more lucrative with a Melbourne club than a rugby state club. It just wouldn't be worth it to go up there imo.

my throat is sooo sore from yelling at the game. I was behind the goals in the essendon cheer section...I was one of the only dees! Those idiots behind me constantly chanting rehearsed bits like soccer fans through out the whole game. stuck it right up 'em though!!! GREAT STUFF DEE's!!!

I'm curious as to if he's used these last 9 weeks to 'muscle-up'. Obviously hasn't been able to do much running or skills work. Definitely would have been a good opportunity to put on some pounds. MFC site has him listed at 77kg at the start of the year. for a 182cm player thats still very light. Once he gets to Ablett territory of 88kg he'll be a damn machine!
