This will get done late in the year. Hunt is the interesting one in my opinion. Free agent will have suitors. It may be that the club deliberately low balls Hunt to encourage him to move and get am end of second round draft pick in return. This would also free up the cash to keep Brayshaw. Just Mt thoughts. Did he? I seem to recall that Cameron was on a rampage when Smith got moved onto him and while Smith didn't completely stop him, his output was far less. I'm not the biggest Smith fan, but his output is always better than I anticipate. He grabs and holds his opponents to stay close and gets away with it. In my opinion he has been lucky with the umpires on a few occasions. I thought he was going to be a real gun as a forward a few years ago.

Depth will be key this season. Very happy we still have Melksham on the list. Hopefully he has something to prove and is busting his backside to get back to that 2018 form. As for list depth, I think others have covered it already but I will add... We need young tall depth. I don't want Jackson forced to take the number one ruck role next year. I'm not sure I want him to ever take it really. He could be an absolute nightmare matchup as that 2nd ruck/ Tall forward/ Mid /Xfactor/Freak that I don't want locked down as number 1 ruck. I'm a little disappointed we didn't pick up another promising Ruck at the draft, but it's barely worth thinking about.

Ah yes... the academy zones. Given to us because the states in the north had an unfair advantage. A chance for us to develop some talent and get something back. Except when we do develop the kids the states in the north just draft them anyway. Seems really fair and worth our time and money. So yeah. Im predicting Hibbered will play about 5 -10 games this year and will lose his spot in the 22 to a younger player. He will get a one year extension. Hoping that he can get to 100 games for the club. Currently on 89 and 173 in total.
