  1. Why has one of our home games been moved there? If its because they're expecting a poor crowd then why aren't more of our games moved there (not that I agree with this) eg Adelaide, Port Adelaide, Freo, etc
  2. The ones next to me were fine, I cant say the same for one of the Dee's supporters though. Old bloke had to many beers and became incoherent, he kept on yelling "WESTERN SYDENY, VISY JUDD, RUGBY LEAGUE, RUGBY LEAGUE" The cops rocked up and told him he's done, he didn't want to leave which resulted in more cops, mace and him being dragged out.
  3. I think everyone who played in that loss should have to play again this week to show they have the heart and the will to compete and turn it around. The only person who should be removed is green as a statement. OUT: Green IN: Scully (don't care whether his knee is good/bad, or if he is or isn't going to GWS)
  4. I may not of been there, and yeah you can't fault Fevola for not going with his man. BUT how many times this season have Melbourne rebounded and NOT had someone sitting inside forward 50 to kick to cause they all push down the the ground. THIS is something we need to do, not everyone can push down.
  5. I had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was a little odd. It was about 6.30pm and someone from MFC called me asking if I would be willing to enter a draw where first prize was $40,0000 and second prize was some trip with the team and they were asking for a $200 donation. The reason why I found it odd was because - The time, 6.30pm? Wouldn't these kind of things be done during working hours? - The person called me from their mobile, wouldn't they use an office phone or even be in the office? - If they are wanting money why would the first prize be money? I declined to donate, if they came out an said it was for player retention I would of be happy with that. If supporters feel they can dig a little deeper to make more of a donation then I'm all for it, I'd love us to be like Collingwood! But personally I cant afford to throw out anothe $200 of genoristy after spending $500+ on my membership for this year.
  6. Do players have any loyalty? Col is great and he's a key to our future, but he's been with us for a long time and been very up and down. He's finally got his head screwed on and his playing some consistant good footy. Yet just as he starts showing something he could leave because our offer isn't good enough, you cant play 1 full season of decent footy and expect a contract to set you up for life. So here were are being blackmailed again like with Cameron Bruce...
  7. No Bail got injured the following week against North Melbourne, the same match as Garland. Garland was listed to be out for quite a period but ended up recovering pretty quickly.
  8. Removal of the rookie list would be great

Let's just get 2 in a row before we get a head of ourselves.
  10. In all fairness when we played North we lost Garland and Bail to injury. We didn't have Jamar, Scully, Trengove, McKenzie in the side. ...plus Newton played (he was ok that game), big difference this week having those players back.
  11. For everyone suggesting Cook to play is ludicrous. He's not ready, let him play out the year in the VFL and put in another pre-season. At Casey he has Fevola getting the No.1 defender and gets protected, if he lines up for Melbourne he'll be as usefull as Jack Watts in his first season.
  12. Finally, someone who gets it. Warnock was in the best 3 out of 4 games, yeah he played a horrible game against Carlton. Didn't deserve to get dropped, needed him desperately today.
  13. According to the MFC website next training is Sunday
  14. Reminds me of Sylvia when he first started, he had poor endurance. No doubt it will come over time, it's pretty valuable now though to have forwards that can run through the midfield and vice versa.
  15. Can not see Tapscott being rushed in. He only did his hammy 2 weeks ago, IF and a big if at that for him to play this week it would be half a game at Casey.
  16. Saw this earlier today, very good inside video indeed.
  17. We won't beat West Coast at this stage.
  18. Any chance on Jamar returning? They said it was a 3 - 5 week injury 4 weeks ago...
  19. Funny how up until the Adelaide game there were only 3 on the injury list, then after that we've averaged losing 3 players a game Adelaide - Jamar (injured), Grimes (injured), Spencer (injured), Fitzpatrick (injured), Trengove (susp) North - Garland (injured), Bail (injured), Wonaemirri (injured), Dunn (susp) St Kilda - Tapscott (injured), Davey (injured), Bartram (injured) Carlton - Newton (injured)
  20. Didn't see it but couldn't agree more. For the last month we've heard this junk from Jones, Frawley, Rivers, Davey, Sylvia, etc. Enough is enough, we know you played crap, we know you didn't work hard enough, we don't need to be told because we all watched it unfold. Stuff the twitter messages and your media articles, come out show us that playing for Melbourne means something.
  21. If Trengove, Scully, and Gawn are named I'm confident we'll win... That's also assuming we don't lose someone mid-week like Sylvia, Moloney, Frawley.
  22. I was actually thinking about that the other day ala Leon Davis. He's got a big body to play as a strong defender and no doubt he's quick off the mark so could be quite handy. Doubt it will happen though.
  23. I'm trying to work out how Rivers is some how named in this side despite the fact he didn't play last week and he's not listed as an "in" Solved - Your dropping Jones?
  24. OUT: Bail (injured), Garland (injured), Dunn (suspended), Bennell, Wonaemirri IN: Gawn, McKenzie, Rivers, MacDonald, Evans Gawn - Give him a crack, hopefully he can tap to advantage, Martin to support him. Mckenzie - Even if it's for a half and he gets subbed. Rivers - Should hopefully be fit, perfect switch for Garland. MacDonald - Should of played last week, we'll need bigger bodies against the Saints. Evans - Deserves promotion, start him as a sub. Bennell needs to spends weeks at Casey not a week, really needs to make more of an impact in the games he plays. No doubt he has talent but with how young we are we simply cant have someone who cant provide more, if he played for Collingwood or Geelong he would fill a role as he'd have plenty of support. Wonaemirri hasn't done enough and should be in the same boat as Bennell, needs some weeks play for Casey. The rest are injured/suspended but you would have to say Dunn was going t be dropped if he wasn't suspended.
