  1. I was going to say 15,000 but its the first game of year, we'll be pretty close to full strength and its winnable games so I'll go with 18,000
  2. I'm hoping it's not the case but it's looking like Port are the next team below us to become better and more competitive quicker. 2011 - Richmond 2012 - Brisbane 2013 - Port???
  3. I'd put it down to the change of moving to the big city rather than the club
  4. FYI - undefined player on AFL website is Hogan, the same thing gets listed for Jack Martin when he plays for GC. I think its because it references the lists from the websites but because they're not on lists yet they dont exist.
  5. I think its referring to the live audio option within the app
  6. Sellar on 24 DT points already, doesn't normally get much more than that
  7. http://www.fiveaa.com.au/ Right at the top of the page
  8. I don't know if this is my heart or not, but going into this I thought Port would win easily and then saw both the teams. They're both resting players, from what I saw we have 18 players rested where Port have 8, yet I think our 2nd 22 still looks better....
  9. FB: Nicholson, Frawley, Garland HB: Watts, McDonald, Dunn C: Evans, Grimes, Blease HF: Sylvia, Dawes, Toumpas FF: Byrnes, Pedersen, Howe FOLL: Jamar, N.Jones, McKenzie INT: Rodan, Viney, Kent SUB: Jetta The above is based on Friday with the assumption Blease will be fit for round 1. Pedersen and Sellar I reckon are fighting for that forward/ruck role and it will take something special in the remaining NAB cup games for Fitzpatrick to come into the equations.
  10. Dean Kent... was at the game and I though he was Matt Jones until I found out 34 was Kent the next day My concern is how the backline will line up round 1, Frawley and McDonald are guaranteed the 2 key posts. But then we've got Watts, Dunn and Garland who are all playing back as well. We're to tall and slow if we end up going with all 5 down back.
  11. A great side? No. But it will be a competitive side, the players brought in our to help us to be competitive and be in games till the end. Not to have 1 good quarter, not to be pumped in the first quarter and be even for 3/4 quarters. Next year we will be a no thrills team, no superstars, just a bunch of team players looking to achieve the most. Free agency will be there next year, and the year after that, and so forth... plenty of time to attract the big names, first we need to give them a reason to come and it starts by being competitive.

    Farren Ray

With how Melbourne are trading I'd expect it to be more like 49 + 53
  13. What about this scenario Martin + pick 49 + pick 63 to St Kilda for Ray + pick 37 Pick 37 to North for Pedersen St Kilda are looking for a support ruckman and a key back, Martin has played these roles before so they play him in one of those or both allowing us to get Ray and pick to satisfy North. North get rid of Pedersen and we gain our third tall forward/ruck.
  14. So with free agency ending tomorrow afternoon, if Rivers doesn't go to any of the clubs rumored to be into him by cut off does that mean he either accepts a contract with Melbourne or head to the draft?
  15. So with all the trading of picks/players/U17's do we still need to do a minimum of 3 players in the the draft? If so it looks like it would be pick 4, Viney and maybe rookie upgrade for Nicholson?
  16. Because he cant kick and when the ball hits the ground he's useless.
  17. Part of the recruitment this off season has been to pick players to help our culture and work ethic, he is not one of those players.
