A very good article. In a nutshell how many of us feel without doubt. Too many rules changes in too short a timeframe - many of them negatively affecting the spectacle. Oh, and the crowd behaviour and brawls becoming more prevalent.... is that purely drug and alcohol related? Or can this umpiring ‘angst’ the writer speaks of be a huge variable in the increasingly violent crowd environment? I have zero faith in the current AFL administration solving any of these issues but complete and utter faith they will continue to add to the angst.

Obviously it depends on how much we improve the list in the off season but I also have a belief that we’re not as bad as this year would indicate. Clear run of injuries will see us back in Finals.

I hope Burgess has started his research and influencing of programs earlier than his contract start date in November. The gap between Misson leaving and the other staff members supposed to be departing will bee too great - approximately 8 weeks or more prior to Burgess’s arrival. What happens...? Do they keep going on Misson’s questionable methods? That’s unacceptable and will be akin to business gross misconduct by Mahoney and Pert if allowed to happen.

The complete apathy I have for this club is near equivalent to that of the Neeld years. I’m feeling so lost and low right now. Even with all of the injuries we have, there is something stinking so badly at this club.
