  1. Rumours of severe injuries are the worst type to even post online. Why bother?

You’re in mine mate and I am the ‘King of Cool’. I’m enjoying your witty contributions.
  3. I imagine a lot of clubs are very interested but even more cautious on the ‘supposed’ identification of a potential root cause to his calve issues. Bet they’re wanting to see a fair bit more evidence of the remedy before going all in.

It’s so easy to bag out on a player who is looking at leaving as it’s all his fault. Whilst I agree ‘Frost ball’ was correctly explained by Goodwin at the time, the Coach could have also easily said “but hey, it means stuff all anyway because his teammates upfield are never in position anyway.” It could be argued that Frost’s composure levels in game are relevant to the entire teams.

With the quartet I mentioned out of the team, I very much doubt we have the skill nor composure and particularly not the depth to benefit from any rigid system of play.

It’s a very valid question, Earl. If May, Lever, Jetta and to a lesser extent Hibberd all have injury affected years once again we could be Swiss cheese down back all over again.

On a scale of durability of MFC defenders, Frost is at a 9/10 whereas everyone else seems to be sub 5/10. Hoping Burgess can change things around but I do like a player who comes up week after week.
  8. This has been said by a few on here and I need to challenge it for my own benefit. What ‘extra elements’ of leadership should Viney poll votes for that any other player showing on-field leadership shouldn’t receive plaudits and votes for because if Viney or any other player is receiving votes for other leadership actions other than ‘on-field’ actions, I’m absolutely confused as to how the B&F works and how it can possibly be in any way equitable.
  9. Assistants get the blessing to move on when it is a ‘promotion’ at another club. I believe it’s also a universal clause in assistants contract in the AFL. It sucks.
  10. What a fantastic speech by Max. A real leaders speech. If he isn’t made Co Captain next year it will be the greatest farce ever.
  11. Is the music on the stream the actual band that’s playing there?
  12. Lukoscious and King likely to depart next year helps the case for this excessive assistance package.

You should just change your name to ‘Sheriff’.

Frost has been a good servant and has shown incremental improvement since we traded him in. That said, if we bring in Tomlinson as FA at no cost and trade out Frosty for a second rounder we’re in front.

Melbourne would be more competitive than GWS today. What a shitshow this is turning out to be.

Baker has potential. ANB has had some good games in 2018 but this year pathetic. Worth the depth - two years generous. Joel Smith big tick for mine, just needs a good run at it without injury. Wagner boys provide depth and nothing questionable regards their effort. Chandler lucky to be kept on. Lockhart a full pre season will surprise. Same as Lockhart, a full pre season will do wonders for Dunkley. We can’t just clean out this level of players and regurgitate with the next batch of NQR’s every season and more than anything this comes across as underwhelming because of the fact they’re a bulk fringe player re-signing media release! Why didn’t they just announce them as the happened throughout the year? Must be some method to the madness.

A link to an exercise I found worthwhile doing. Toggle through the years beginning in 2011 - the Giants first draft where they admittedly were handed a swathe of first round draft picks - and then follow through until the 2018 draft and you’ll come to the realisation that a lot of those high picks have moved on to other clubs or have been broken with injury (Patton) or left the game (Boyd). Whilst it irks me to even acknowledge this, the Giants have basically made the most value out of their trades which of course have usually resulted in more high draft picks that’s left them at the pointy end of the National draft again and again. I wonder how all of Treloar, Adams and Hoskins-Elliott (ex-GWS top 10 picks) we’re feeling yesterday as they were running around in Pies jumpers? GWS draft history
