I could pick out many things I dislike about the article but the general the gist of it and the overall content - I just think it’s fair to say that the timing is very poor. The club is leading Brayshaw up the garden path with feedback like that. The season was a big [censored]-sandwich. Sprinkling hundreds and thousands on it with content like this only makes it worse in my view.

I don’t disagree but your use of the word “almost” is operative. I think we need to squeeze/manage whatever we can from those blokes for another two years. Jetta was cruelled by injury this year but is still one of the best small/medium lock downs we have. Between Lever and May we’ve blown (‘used’ maybe a better choice of word) 3 top 15 draft picks so I’m pretty averse to consuming another in defence where I don’t really see the need right now.

More pressing needs in the forward half. I think Hibberd and Salem have plenty more to give before rushing out and coughing up more first rounders for defenders from other clubs. Handy player but it’s a know for me.
