  1. Rubbish. If he wasn't 100% fit he shouldn't have played. A poor effort by Sylvia.
  2. So your assumption that Wojcinski will be retired? Delisted? Unable to get another AFL game after this season? Does this make it okay that a triple premiership 31 yr old player smacked an 18 year old in the face and then crunched him and broke his jaw that will have him out of action for minimum two months? Sweating the small stuff? Do yourself a favor and put yourself in Jack Vineys shoes. Small stuff?
  3. Gaff mark II. Crows on the way up and if they make finals this year he will re-sign.
  4. Everyone has off days. Seaby would have been playing more for a regular spot in the team with the Mummy out.
  5. We had that opportunity against West Coast. Saying that, I think we've come a fair way in a short time and will give a solid account this Saturday.
  6. It's a Leadership GROUP. It will be the collective responsibility of all of these guys to support the Captains in their first year of what is obviously a tough and daunting gig. It's great to see Jonesy holding up his end thus far. We supporters need to do the same.
  7. Great desperate mark by Col Garland late in the game. He came down hard on his bum - do hope he's okay.
  8. For Alzheimers. So he can help me forget the start to this season.
  9. I'm not a betting man so I hope this seems plausible. $1.20 Dee's $6 - $7 GWS
  10. Will Sylvia play at Casey for Match fitness or come straight back in to the line up? I thought I heard somewhere that Neeld has said he'll play for Casey..
  11. He has shown that he's more than a foootballers 'boot-stud'.
  12. I said nothing of the sort, to put the number 1 ruckmans role on Martins head - you did. I think it would be foolish to try and match an offer to keep Jamar. Bit harsh on Sellar. He's shown something this year so far and comparatively speaking to most of the team, it's not as bad as you allude to.
  13. Exactly. Once these guys are fit, we need to get games into them. The only real advantage Jamar has is a (historical) good communication and clearance pairing with Moloney.
  14. Losing Jamar would open up a spot on the list and free up the cap - that's hardly nothing in return. He's 29 and is barely holding his spot in the team. We have to rely on Spencil, Fitzy and Gawn to come good. With Martin and Clark capable of rucking losing Jamar to free agency may be unfortunate but hardly detrimental to the team at this point in time.
  15. I live in hope that the day will come when Cook lines up on and gives Darling absolute bath. Until then...
  16. Just proves that he really has done his dash in Melbourne as far as radio goes. Silly little man.
  17. Plain and simple is about the extent of your opinion I would say. Trengove has got the potential to fill the massive void of leadership at the club. The coach tends to agree.
  18. Are you for real? Neeld is doing his job and Grimes and Trengove are learning theirs. You are so far off the mark I'm not prepared to give any further comment.
  19. Face - palm. Yeah, let's keep flogging that dead horse too. Let's remove the undiscipline and improve the fitness and then we might get somewhere. FFS.
  20. That stupid bloody interchange infringement rule. Sure a free-kick if you have to give something but the 50m penalty is way over the top and it often results in a goal.
  21. Luke Hodge. Out of Judd, Ball and Hodge from the '01 draft, I would have Hodgey in a Demons jumper any day. I reckon he will make the difference. Apart from his obvious footy smarts and sublime skills, his true grit and determination are what makes him such a terrific skipper. Watching him in that 2008 prelim is some of the best footage going around. Put him back in to the Hawks line up, fit and firing, and watch the improvement. Ed: iPad fingers
  22. Bailey showed a lot of promise last year and is probably more reliable than Gawn and Spencer at this stage. Haven't seen enough of McCauley but he was stiff at Brisbane with Big Leuy having a cracker season. He might come of age this year surrounded by a great midfield teaching him. As for Roughy and Hale, for the Hawks to have this versatility in two ruck/forwards is pretty special and it depends on who you talk to but some would say it's more value than a dedicated ruckman. I just can't see them needing anyone, especially from our stables.
