Regurgitated by another commentator and promptly printed by the HS.

Only for some rpfc. I too don't consider Royal the crux of the problem but hey, on face value, Ling does have some appeal.

Watched a small snippet of pep-talk he gave the GWS kids the other day. At least get him for one of those...

You are totally wrong about Nikki Webster. Have you checked her out lately? Rather intimidating indeed.

I don't think this is accurate and indicative of the midfield problem. Neeld is the senior coach and listens to ideas from Royal but ultimately is the one who instructs Royal to coach to the game plan. If Royal was doing such a shite job, Neeld would have either sorted it by now, or given him the arse.

I can only take solace from the hope and belief that Neeld is revolutionising the team and game plan so much, that it will take the competition by storm when everything clicks into gear. -

The new coach has had the guts to call a spade a spade. It appears (and maybe confirms if you are who you are) that the players have not liked hearing it. Very disappointed with this posting until you elaborate. Ed: If anything, the papers will make something of this. -
The suitable leaders will be men who are up for the challenge of dragging this club out of the doldrums -salaries aside. The MFC has got to attract senior players with a thirst for the tough gig. They are few and far between but not all of them are the guns we think we need. I'm quietly confident that some very delicate work is underway in the background to identify these men and that Neeld is over it like a rash.

Neeld hater. Can you possibly contribute something other to this forum apart from bagging our coach, who is trying to change the culture of this football club? Can you?

Message from the President...

Fantastic post, Deanox. Thanks for taking the time to type this up. My concern is the culture issue. With these senior players remaining in the team and dishing up below par performances week in - week out, surely that will fester and remain a toxic, uncomfortable relationship with not only the coaches, but the current leadership group as well. It will be a great test of the young leaders to manage this year and attempt to change the attitude of these older players to improve their contribution to the team. -
I'd love to read a "few more thoughts" from Cam, since his last posting.

What irony. Your comments. Coleman medals, premierships, media career etc. You?
-
I think the idea is to possibly have him providing some input. If I can borrow a line from Rhino Richards, "thanks for missing the point."
-
You humour too easily. Lloyd's record is far superior to Leigh Browns. That includes 3 Coleman medals. People are too quick to write him off as a self-indulgent know-it-all.. I rate him and would welcome him at the Demons.

Thankfully there are threads and posts like this to make me feel good with all of the bad results that are a reality. I too think that Neeld is the best chance we have of turning this around. Mind you, I'd be thinking the same of Brenton Sanderson or McCartney or Watters if they'd been given the job. As supporters, we have to deal with what we've got and that is Mark Neeld. All the best to him and the rest of the coaching group. They sure have one hell of a job in front of them.
