    As mentioned in the Roos thread by SO39, it is rumoured we've been in touch with Scooter Selwood who apparently wants to come home to Vic. WCE seem to have fallen away badly this year and his older brother Adam has retired from the Eagles and may also want to return East, leaving just one Selwood brother on the West coast. So what's he worth? Pick 2 for mine.

    Neeld was the wrong personality that was brought into a dysfuntional club when it was being run by incompetent people. If a Simpson or Tudor were to be given the job now they'd have a much better chance than Neeld ever did. I have no direct knowledge of what sort of personalities they possess but if what I've read on here is anything to go by they'd engage well with most players/teams. Still consider it to be too risky to try another virgin coach.

    Rushing to sign Neeld remains as conjecture as far as I know. It was just a poor, poor decision by those in charge to hand an absolute basket case to a bloke who was way out of his depth. This is why Jackson has repeated time and time again that the next senior coach must be experienced, and that's not just about the actual game itself. To bring in another new senior coach is not what the club needs. It needs a coach who has experience in dragging a whole club up from the depths of despair.

    As good as Whately is, I doubt he'd know anything really juicy and I doubt even further he could keep it quiet.

    That's a good point that I really don't know the answer to. Can a board member stand down and then soon after be re-elected for the process of a re-appointment to work?

    I wouldn't be at all surprised if once Matthew's ticket is elected and Johnson turfed out that Voss will be re-instated as senior coach. Watch it happen.

    Dank is the gate keeper (stating the obvious I know) in all of this. Administering players with what the clubs thought were vitamin injections where in actual fact Dank had much more sinister ambitions. This is why he remains quiet - he is severely corrupted and mentally impaired and will go a row when found out. Essendon gave him and the Weapon far too much leeway and are now paying the price for (lack of) governance issues. Hird was unbelievably gullible at the start and then most likely got the same power bug as Dank at some stage before it all came crashing down earlier this year. Thankfully the Dee's handed over all dealings and it appears were only dabbling in vitamin injections before Dank tried on a more supercharged concoction through Bates. I reckon the AOD cream was his way of introducing the drug to players. I'm confident we're safe.

    Still holding out hope we can get enough decent midfielders to get the ball inside 50 regularly enough to see this.

    But when you're tired ol dee your skills and decision making processes go out the window. I would like to think it's a huge variable.
