And Moloney last year.

I have a connection who knows Cotchin reasonably well and he says that Cotchin will be glad to have him out of his house (for those that don't know he's been bunked up there this season). Also has a full-time minder and still gets up to all sorts of mischief. Fraught with danger.

I agree, Petty.

I thought this thread was going to be about that pelican on channel 9. Let. Down.

Sometimes jazza I reckon you've partaken in too much of Gellibrands market garden.

Any budding superstars lurking on Demonland?

Unless this is for a veterans league I reckon I might struggle. Nah stuff it! If it's to get on the MFC list then I'll nominate.- 15 replies

The key ingredients for sure.

I hope Roosy has a serious-chat-table and just a casual-chat-table for these sorts of meetings so the players know what they're in for.

Dean Kent to get some time in the gutz and kick 30 odd goals. Building on what he showed this year and with another full pre season under his belt I think we'll see something pretty special begin to emerge. Kent and Blease taking the game on and kicking goals sounds good to me.

Load up on guns, bring your friends It's not fun to lose nor to pretend We have a new Board, they're self-assured Oh, no, Paul Roos is a dirty word Hello, hello.....

In all seriousness, I want to see Trengove have a season that makes Dusty Martin look like a plodder. If Roos can't get him going I'll be amazed and dismayed.

Has Josh Mahoney secured the GM of Footy Ops job?

Heard him speak in Perth and his over-use of business speak was cringeworthy imo. I think he's read too many books and needs an opportunity to put it into action. Whether he gets that opportunity with a decent CEO to report in to remains to be seen. He certainly has the drive to do well and you have to admire that. From what I've read though it would appear that Geoff Walsh has more runs on the board. -
No mention of the development line coaches yet. Greaves Satterley Nichol These guys were hand picked by Neeld so I would imagine they'd also be on shaky ground.
-
I believe he's over here to put that house he bought in Wembley Downs back on the market too.

Great initiative to get over and meet his folks as opposed to trying to convince the lad by himself in Melbourne.
-
He played the way I would like to see Howe develop into. Great motor, goal sense, skills and can take a speccy.

North are probably saying the same about us giving them Gysberts.

Pole. Smoker.

That just might turn out be the other way around if Dawes can't get some continuity back next season.

Ron, when all of those players you've mentioned above have had as many chances as Colin has had then you have an argument. That's the glaring difference in my opinion, and I will stress that it is just my opinion. But there's other variables: - Lacks on field leadership - Questionable off field conduct - Consistency has improved but hardly impacts given his 'lauded' skills and ability - Never had a leadership role in the team I appreciate the fact that Roos wants him to stay and I hope that's because he recognises how to extract the most from Colin. -

Only if you want to continue comparing apples to oranges, Ron. -

Two first year mature age draftees finished ahead of him in the Bluey. That says it all for me. Let him go and use the funds on other players hopefully in the FA market and dip back into the mature age draftee pool. He's a pretender and I won't be concerned if he goes a single iota. -
That was my point.
