I'd prefer the other way around. Selwood is more durable, gives better second efforts, works harder and is a better midfielder in general.

It begs the question that if he does sign and is announced before Monday evening, would he even appear on the show? Did I read somewhere that he will be on 360 on Tuesday evening? That seem logical to me that an interview on 360 on Tuesday night as opposed to his usual gig on OTC which involves interviewing others after he has signed (if that makes sense). My tip is Roos will not appear on On The Couch next week because he will have 'other' committments.

Viney is the only untouchable for mine. Very disappointing if he's moved on against his will. Has provided shelter to Hogan and Toumpas on top of performing his job at the club.

If we didn't screw up the last coaching appointment we wouldn't be debating this. Moloney didn't want to play to Neelds dickbrained game plan and I don't blame him. It was a shame he didn't understand the concept of true leadership but his ability to extract the ball was missed this year. Rivers thought Neeld was a whackjob and could not see a future in finals anytime soon under him. He came to that realisation way before all of us Football Yoda's. To make the assertion that to lose a player who is able to walk into arguably the most dominant team in the competitions best 22 as no great loss is incomprehensible. Think about it.

That could be said for many other players, hardtack. Neeld recruited for his paltry game plan and only played players he thought could execute it - Jack Fitzpatrick missing out for instance. I think players like Jetta and Davis have more chance of coming good under the right guidance. Sellar for mine needs to make way for another midfielder.

Rivers is in Geelongs best 22 when fit. Geelong for crying out loud! Moloney has played some great footy for the Lions and whilst personally I don't have any issues with his departure due to his unwillingness to change, to say we've not suffered from his absence and to then look at the massive clearance diferential this year is delusional. I'm almost sorry to say but Neeld blew that one big time. Petterd has been serviceable for the Tigers.

Exactly. A developed, plug and play elite midfielder and people don't think he's worth trading pick 2 for? A ten year player for the MFC.

Selwood is only 23 years old and wins his own ball and uses it well. He's hard and unforgiving which is something our midfield lacks. You guys obviously don't watch many Eagles games.
