Interesting when Robert Walls said that Worsfold was a poor coach (last year by memory) saying that given the quality of the list during those years, the Eagles should've been more successful. Same can be said for Roos. No doubt he's saved this club, along with PJ but he is a seriously shyte match day coach.

Fyfe is a different cat so heading off to the Gold Coast is well within his scope. He's also a footy nut so getting to Victoria might be his aim. If that's the case, the implications of picks and subsequent hand-offs will be complicated. But we're getting used to it.

I think the game has changed to the point where winning the contested ball and using it effectively with the skills you have on hand is more important than having distinguishable inside and outside types and even drafting for them. Exibhit A - The Toump. On the other hand, Viney is a great example of a player that's made the transition to a player who can do it all. Development of players is heading more in this direction and whilst I don't disagree that skillful players win you games, I consider the ratio of hard-nosed players that can learn to use it effectively within a sound game plan more reliable than seagull players like a Wingard type.

I think Lennon will be part of this trade. Lennon and Pick 6 for Prestia and a second rounder.

I agree. I thinki the management of players has gone to a whole new level at the club - particularly the young blokes. Weed just last week was a prime example. Just no risk taking ultimately pays off.

One thing's for sure and that is Freo footy club has a bad smell coming out of it right now. I think 'Ross the Boss' might infact be 'Ross the toss'. Ed: Oh, and by the way, after years of torment from Freo supporters I'm making every second of their shitty season count.

So it was just reported here on 7 news break in Perf that St Kilda and Essendon are "considering making a play for Nat Fyfe."

Interesting are Plapps reports. He's obviously guided by selection hence the time his spiel gets released. It could say something like - Dean Terlich: "Terls had a solid game today with 76 disposals, 24 marks (18 contested) and 19 tackles. We recognise his effort has improved and whilst he got a bit of the footy, he wasted his opportunities and failed to bring teammates into the play. With a performance like this, Terls will continue to put pressure on the senior team."

Two sides to this coin mate. If the heat wasn't on the top 7 jostling for a top 4 spot as it is and we were relying on GWS to spank Norf in the last round but GWS was in the clear (say guaranteed 2nd possie) and therefore rested a heap of players and Norf got up therby denying us? Dread the thought! Field your best team and have them play to their merits no matter what round it is. If you don't it should be classified as tanking and tampering with the Finals. If the AFL policed this rather than waiting to react we'd not be in the current scenario.
