  1. At last, some opportunity to provide examples of turning a club around, and quickly displaying succes. 1-2 seasons. Let start off with Melbourne; MFC - 1985 11th, coach change in 1986 - John Northey - 1987 preliminary Finalists with a young team. MFC - 1997 16th, coach change in 1998 - Neil Daniher - 4th position Collingwood - 1976 wooden spoon, coach change in 1977 - Tom Hafey - Grandfinalists Collinwood - 1999 wooden spoon, coach change in 2000 - Mick Malthouse - 2002 - 4th position Brisbane - 1998 wooden spoon - coach change in 1999 - Leigh Matthews 4th position then 3 premierships Sydney - 2002 11th - coach change 2002-03 - Paul Roos - 4th There are so many examples of good coaches turning things around very quickly. The most obvious is that of Ken Hinkley with Port Adelaide this year. Last year they were treated as a basket case and ready to be kicked out of the AFL. If you go thru the records, youll find that coaches with a similiar record to Neelds first 26 games, find themselves out-the-door pretty quickly. Most football administrations can see a lemon when it is staring them in the face. For some reason, MFC admin and supporters cant see the fact. Just look at the Bailey years, now the Neeld years. Sooooooooo much patience and excuses. 2013 - Port Adelaide - First year coach -
  2. She'll be right, it will just take another few more years. You know, the players arnt quite ready yet. We are still young. Neeld is trying to implement a new game plan. We will get there, We just need unity. Forget about Moloney and Rivers, they were dogs. We are training well, dosnt really matter that we just got beat by the bomobers by 176 points at our home. We won 2 quaters against GWS. We are on the right track. Neeld has started from so far back. and so on and so on. Yeah right, coming from the mouth of REAL DEMONS. Excuses excuses excuses. 6 years of excuses is enough, actually 1 excuse is enough for me. Cant you see, people are just trying to secure their positions by blaming everyone but themselves, and people like RPFC just swallow it hook line and sinker. Blaming everyone that Neeld tells him to. GET SOME BRAINS, CLEAR YOUR VISION AND START TO WAKE UP. Neeld has shown NOTHING. NOTHING. He just gets worse and worse, more pathetic the performance, the more bold the excuses. And RPFC & co. swallow it up. Unbelieveable. This club is made up of the Blind leading the blind. I just hope a new start happens and quickly. Whatever it takes. I cant put up with this excuse riddled, losers mentality any longer. It makes me sick.
  3. Neeld "I'm gonna drive you mad, I havnt got a problem with that" "I have no interest in the past" Well done proffessor nutjob, successful on all counts, now step down.
  4. Mate, just look at our performance under Neeld. Do I have to say any more. Compare that to Malthouse at Carlton in just a few games or Hinkley at Port Adelaide. And don't give me, its the players fault. It is wearing very very thin. Neeld aint up to it. I think 26 rounds of footy has proven me right. But if you want to hold onto your little delusional fantasy for another 2 years, be my guest, just dont tell me to swallow it. Let see how we go against a similar side like Brisbane. Another 10+ goal defeat is not acceptable. Full Stop.
  5. 28 pages debating the sacking of neeld. Where there's smoke..... That 12 goal quarter of footy told us 2 things; 1. We have the talent 2. Gws were spent Let's see how we go against the lions, who's list is the equal of ours. The players, supporters and administration are doing their best to "buy in", but he is making it bloody hard. Every game is a big game for neeld. It is still one minute to midnight. Ps. To think garland says he is coaching aswell as he ever has, makes you wonder how bad he must have been.
  6. Hahaha, I'm serious. I reckon our players rock!
  7. Can someone please explain what 'cheap seats' mean? Is he referring to our blue collar membership base, he should resign immediately. It is exactly this blue collar demographic that has turned Richmond, collingwood, essendon and hawthorn into a powerhouse. Mclardy has lost touch. Disgusting comments. Truly disgusting. Give me Schwartz as our figurehead, who at least will represent the rank and file supporter base. Give him competent , professional support, and we have the foundations of a new ticket. Prendergast - gone Schwab - gone Mclardy - last legs Neeld - dead man walking It's round 4, we can still make finals, let's enact this regime change immediately. There is no time to waste.
  8. Whatever happened or was said at 3/4 time, will give us the answer to our onfield problems. I was sitting in the sun in the great southern stand and could not see what was happening. Can anyone shed some light on what happened in the huddle and how much time neeld spent with the player? Did anyone else address the players? Did the players address themselves? If so, which player/s did the talking? Today was very very bizarre. Almost schizophrenic. Maybe this is professor nutjobs plan?
  9. So if he fcuks off completely, can we still make finals? It's only round 4. The last quarter was finals worthy. Garland was exceptional.
  10. It almost seemed that the team was de/shackled in the last 1/4. Very very bizarre. I think the last quarter performance shows we have very good talent in our team. Why we are not allowed to play like that every quarter is one more reason to suggest that neeld is not getting the most out of our players.
  11. Very strange game. Neeld was 30mins from being sacked, I wonder what he said at 3/4 time? It did look like the players just went back to playing instinct footy. Highest scoring 1/4 in 152 years at the 'g'. We do have the talent, we just gotta get rid of the coach that stifles our talent. I hope today's game showed people that the players are not the problem, it's the coach. That kind of turnaround is truly bizarre.
  12. Changing club allegiances is like changing your nationality. Very hard, almost impossible to do. However, in saying that, if Australia was to become a totalitarian police state, I would leave, but always call myself an Australian. On the other hand, if ww3 is declared and Australia and new Zealand must merge economies and Politics for survival, I would endorse the amalgamation as it would allow me to expand my home, and give us a fighting chance for victory. The same goes with the MFC. The next 10 years are critical for our survival. If we fail, I see no other future but a merger with north Melbourne. And if that happens, I would embrace the union, as my football family has just entered a marriage with another football family and become stronger. The MFC will never die, we may merge in the future, but we will always be Melbourne @ the mcg. A kangaroo or demon is not that important to me.
  13. We all new there was something seriously wrong with the club. It's called "guilt"
  14. Donald Rumsfeld almost destroyed the USA with his ridiculous warfare strategies. If neeld is like Rumsfeld, he should be sacked immediately.
  15. Didnt Farmer walk out aswell? We brought him back, and he dominated.
  16. I just made up a rumour aswell. Royal sacked. Neeld to become our midfield coach. Craig promoted to head coach.
  17. Neeld shoved them out the door as quick as he could. No understanding of their positions in life. I remember G.Lyon flying all the way to Perth to convince Farmer to rejoin the club. Thats the kinda passion we need. Neeld just told them to Fcuk off. Those 2 boys were electrifying, and sorely missed by supporters. They could have been great ambassadors of the club, especially with our entry into Darwin. Get rid of Neeld, replace him with Craig, even if we beat GWS.
  18. Neil Craig when coaching Adelaide in his second last year, completely changed his gameplan from stale defensive to accountable attacking and turned the fortunes of the crows around. At the time they were languishing at the bottom, then with the changed mindset, I thunk they made the finals. We have only played 3 games with an easy draw. We can still make finals, but we need a new mindset. Maybe give the reins to Craig and see if he can get us into finals. On paper, I still think we have a finals team. Clarke- possible Coleman medalist Howe- could be anything Jones- rock solid Grimes- rock solid Frawley- ex aa Jamar- ex aa Davey- ex Bluey Dawes- premiership chf T.Mac- rising star Blease- could be anything Watts- architect Trengove- we know he can play Sylvia- can be unstoppable Viney is viney Dunn & garland - experienced key backman Mckenzie- great tagger There is enough talent there. They are fit. We can still make finals. If neeld can't do it, replace him with Craig, but hurry. I would replace neeld with Craig, even if we beat gws. Try to march into 8th position.
  19. Neil daniher? He did get us playing good old fashion footy. Pity he let our list collapse to shite. He should be re-interviewed, maybe he is all we can afford, and we know he can coach. Good for club morale aswell. I'd rather Paul Roos.
  20. Well said macca. I think you hit the nail right on the head. Perfect!!!
  21. Fb - terlich, frawley, garland Hb - Dunn, t.McDonald, grimes C- trengove, jones, Howe Hf- Kent, Clarke, watts Ff- davey, gawn, Tapscott Fol- jamar, Sylvia, viney Int, bail,, Evans, m.jones, sub:jetta
  22. If you think m.jones is going to turn our fortunes, I wouldn't hold my breath. Jumbo, you r a true blue collar. Good on ya.
