  1. Hahahaha, I bet we don't even bother asking him. If we go for another speculative pick, I think I'll be done caring for the MFC. I don't suffer fools easily. The last 6 years has left me dumbfounded. Time to learn from our mistakes and stop the reckless gambling. We need go for the sure bet. If he's willing, we must give him the reigns. It's a sure bet. It will be good for me, my son and the MFC community. Please MFC, at least approach him. I don't think that is too much to ask.
  2. It's now time to look forward, no use crying over spilt milk.
  3. Before people shoot this thread down by saying it will never happen, please consider that he openly stated on radio that he was 'interested' in the melboune coaching position (2012) but was never approached by the MFC. Right now, our club needs Leigh Matthews. He is arguably the greatest player of all time, has won 4 premierships as a coach and is still heavily involved in football analysis and is super intelligent and will remove all doubt and division from our supporters by eliminating the 'can he or can't he coach' question. I keenly listen to him on radio, and have found him to have his finger right on the pulse, to the extent that it is very hard to argue against his opinions. His presence alone will unite our club - supporters and players. With lethal as head coach, we can halve our coaching department and focus most of the coaching budget towards the head coach himself. Dare I say, a man like lethal barely needs assistant coaches. Leigh understands the emotional and spiritual element to football, he is super tough and can quickly turn a bunch of losers into world beaters, ie, Brisbane, "if it bleeds we can kill it". He is also tactically elite, he starts from defensive attacking strengths. With the lions, he put his best attacking players down back, and created a fierce attacking backline. This created drive thru the midfield and was capped off by penetrating kicks down forward. Leigh is able to get the best out of his players and tailors roles specifically to his players strength. He works with what he has, and makes the team feel fierce and invincible. Some say he inherited a super team, others say he allowed a team to become super. I still think that our team can be super. We must persue lethal, and at least ask him if he is interested, for if he is interested and wants to coach us, it would be negligent not to give him the position of head coach. Presidents, the board, ceo's are very important, but nothing wins games of football like a "great" coach. And who could argue that Leigh Matthews is not one of the greatest football individuals in the history of the game. Nb, he even looks like a demon. Nbb, he is only 61.
  4. Call me old fashioned, but all people representing us on the board MUST be loyal MFC supporters.
  5. Neeld must answer for this. If regime change is not enacted before the saints game, I give up. I would declare this club officially brain dead. Let's face it, come 2014, all the coaches will be replaced, the captains replaced, most of the board will be replaced, and the players will have 1 last year under a REAL coach, to prove themselves. You can't blame the workforce if the management is a joke.
  6. Yes, I am also confidnt that we are on the right track. Neelds defensive structures allowed us to lose by 80 odd points. I havnt felt this good in years. FMD.
  7. Neeld should be charged for fraud. He is a borderline double-agent. If he ain't sacked this week, I will give up.
  8. Keeping neeld sends a clear message to the rest of the competition that the MFC support incompetence. And that we are too stupid to even identify incompetence.
  9. I'm sorry wj, but this is one of the most pathetic, excuse riddled comment I have ever heard on this site. You have just lowered the benchmark for success to an all time low. Not only does this comment condone a loser, excuse making mentality, but it encourages the notion that we are intact useless and insipid and our only hope is to barely compete against wooden spooners. And let me guess, your a neeld supporter? No wonder we are in deep excrement.
  10. Ben-hur, if this was a court case, you could argue that neeld has contradicted himself one too many times. He should not be believed and should be found guilty for fraud. The fact that some people still support him underlines the notion that some people are just too loyal for their own good.
  11. This week, I restructured my business. I identified the character strengths of my workforce, especially the sales reps, and tailored a role that specifically suits their strengths to maximize there potential output. I also sacked a bloke who was an excuse maker. It's a pity neeld could not identify our players strengths and work with there potential. His arrogance cost us moloney. A big loss for our club, and one which is really hurting our team and our spirit. I would be a better coach than neeld, I guarantee it, and I would do it for $70k a year.
  12. It's a start up. Nothing existed 3 years ago. No supporters, no culture, nothing. It takes money to set a company up. Lots of it. What we must take from it is the progress of the team. We are the oldest club in the land, almost the world. Our supporters have the deepest pockets, our home is the mcg. We have no excuses except apethy.
  13. kennet the president of mfc, if that happens, the club is a joke. we will be laughed out of existence. I cant even belive people are debating this. talk about idiot supporters.
  14. How obvious is that comment. RPFC, I think this is the first time I have strongly agreed with you.
  15. You can't have a club president who supports another club. It's like asking Putin to run for American president. It's folly, doomed from the outset.
  16. Look at us, it's akin to a great depression. It's on his watch, he displays no strong ideas on how we are going to get out of this mess, further more, he is responsible for the now proven botched efforts of selecting our last coach, neeld. He should read the play and offer his resignation.
  17. I take your point about leadership, what I was emphasizing is the empathy a president must have for his members, and a connection to the emotional and perceived reality of the situation so he can make relevant decisions that reflect the concensis of the members.
  18. I like pj more and more every day. Let's see how he can manipulate our current board structure.
  19. Is he smart enough to know which way the wind is blowing? I admire his stance tho. Seems to have swallowed neelds excuse making mentality and stupid notion that we had a competitive game against the dorks, albeit a 100 point loss. I think he realized mid-sentence, how stupid that comment is, especially when both teams are being paid the same amount. I just hope he dosnt drop his head once neeld is sacked.
  20. Ofcourse I let my employees override me if I am wrong. Ofcourse I do. I would be out of business if I didn't. I am just a man, and some of my employees know more about certain things than me. We have a very raw & open dialogue which often borders on screaming at each other to get our point across. I don't see myself as better than anyone, I am just responsible for keeping the company sustainable. As for history, I suggest you read thru your history books and understand WHO created Pakistan, and for what reason. Have you ever heard a term, divide and conquer? As for Afghanistan, if you think cave dwellers committed the crime of September 11, I suggest you look more closely at the people controlling the finances of the world. If only you could think for yourself, you would see that some leaders are incompetent. Does GW Bush ring a bell? Your grand master.
  21. Actually, the guys fighting in Afghanistan are paid mercenary thugs who have invaded another country with supreme weapons and finances. I see no heroism in that. I truly brave person is one that says, 'hell no', what have the afghans ever done to me and my country. In regards to the current board, they need to be overthrown, the only way you can chop down a tree, is with an axe. We need fire right now, not yes men like yourself. thanks for your opinion, but no thanks. Your brains have been robotized. Start thinking for yourself, if possible. I know the Australian Army is designed to turn people into yes men, and you have proven that even further.
