  1. A good president reflects the feeling and thoughts of his constituents. Schwartz has done just that. The only MFC supporters I know that support neeld and the current board are a scattered few on this site. We are pathetic, the pain must end, if a wholloping is the only thing that get the dimwitted board to act, then a wholloping it is. I thought I had guts, the ox makes me look insipid. Schwartz is what we need, he possesses the attitude of stynes, whatever it takes!
  2. For the first time in my life, I have no enthusiasm for our club, and even worse, I don't care if win or lose. Completely apathetic. Unless the neeld is replaced, aswell as the board that selected him, we can't begin to heal the wounds and spirit destroying attitude that the current powers have imprinted on the club. More than ever, we need a firebrand president and coach to get back to basics and re-ignite our spirit. Schwarz would be the perfect president with any proven premiership coach to instill belief back into the players. Really, it's not neelds fault for applying and getting the job, it's our elected leaders fault for picking him. They must be replaced. Secondly, if neeld was a good bloke, he would walk out on the club and refuse to accept a pay cheque for 2014. Let's see if he really gives a toss about the club.
  3. My take is simple. Neeld has coached the spirit out of the MFC. He wanted robots, now he has robots. Professor nutjob, you've done it again.
  4. It dosnt matter if the ship can turn around, she's already got a big hole and is just about to sink. The ships captain has taken us thru treacherous waters and is now doomed to drown due to his own misguided adventures Make him walk the plank while chanting, "I wouldn't change a thing". The sailors want a real Captain!!!
  5. Actually, I called this at round 5, 2012. It's bloody obvious he can't coach.
  6. I take it that the usual meeting goes for half an hour with Neeld, and this one has gone for over 2 hours, that something has happened, or some serious grilling is happening. Gee I hope he and Mclardy are replaced.
  7. Did Neeld say at the start of the year that our onfield performance would surprize many people? He was right, it even surprized himself.
  8. No, but Leigh Matthews might be available. Imagine, Schwartz as president, surrounded by a good board of business men and marketing guru's. Leigh Mathews as coach. 12 month turnaround.
  9. I find it strange that many of the key indicators were met during the Hawks game yet we lost by 100 points. How is it possible to meet the coaches targets for key indicators like tackles, clearances, 1%'s and still get such a towelling. I think that raises more questions than answers about his coaching strategy and game style. I have played lots of football at Division1 level. I know a little bit about football. The latest 'trend' in football, is to approach the game like it is a science. No-one does it better than Neeld. He takes the emotion and spirit out of the game, and peels it back to stats, figures & strategy. This is his philosophy and the philosophy our clubs has signed up to. I have a different approach to footy. Sure, your fitness and skills need to be elite, which requires work, and you need a simple yet effective gameplan, with the coach using a multiple of contingency gameplans if required. But the most important element in football is spirit and emotion. This is what Neeld does not understand, nor believe in. Spirit is what kept Jimmy Stynes playing 265 odd games in a row and gave our club great enthusiasm in our bottom years of 07-11. Spirit is what got our club to win the last 5 games of 1987 to get us into the finals and give Robbie Flower his first and only finals campaign, to which we nearly made the GF. Spirit is what won us 8,1/2 games in 2011 with a very young list and raw gameplan. Spirit is what kept Robert Dipierdomenico playing 4 quarters of footy in a GF with broken ribs and a punctured lung. Neeld and the board must understand that Spirit it the key ingredient, and only a few coaches in the land can instill a great team spirit. The gameplan will evolve, but it is the spirit that must be developed and worked on and refined to become almost invincible. Neeld aint the man to develop spirit. He has proven this over the last 30 odd games. He aint the one.
  10. Well well well. Looks like there may be a wealth of candidates out there. If only half the following proven coaches are interested, we sure are positioned nicely to pick the right candidate. Leigh Matthews Paul Roos Bomber Thompson Choco Williams Worsfold Nb, if you havnt won a premiership, don't bother applying!!!
  11. Yeah right, if so you might aswell start working on the design for the new Melbourne kangaroos jumper. It's ridiculous to think that there is a salary cap which should prevent these type of smashings, yet it happens week in week out. 8,1/2 wins in 2011, talk about the baby and the bathwater.
  12. I want Roos, but I am warming to choco. Craig as caretaker, mind you, I remember when the crows were struggling, Craig changed his gameplan overnight and the crows started to dominate. Same thing could happen at MFC?
  13. Encouraged by a 100 point belting by a playing group and fd that is being paid the same as the opponent? Yes, the loser culture is well and truly embedded in the MFC.
  14. If we sack him, it only shows we do not tolerate incompetence. Why would the caretaker coach be Rawlings and not Craig? Why do people think we can't turn this around within 1 year. Our guys can play footy. We have a very competent spine and are a good midfielder short of an acceptable midfield. If trengove can get back to his best, Sylvia steps up, grimes entrenches himself as centreman, the 2 jones boys keep performing, mckenzie rediscovers his good form, viney, toumpas, Kent, jetta, tapscott, magner and Howe can all add depth. Our team is not too bad. I believe a 12 month turnaround should be our objective. Aim for finals 2015. Anything less represents a loser mentality.
  15. Can we please forget about drafting a-grade citizens and maybe try the revolutionary concept of drafting kids that are good footballers. Just suggesting.
  16. Well done pennant, very well done. Hopefully your efforts end up helping us land him.
  17. Rodan, Byrnes or garlett? Really????
  18. Yeah, forget the quick fix like employing a proven premiership coach who demands respect and quashes all speculation. Yep, better the long drawn out fix of recruiting dud coaches and blaming fringe players. Go get em tiger!
  19. Unleash hell, contort it all you want, I prefer facts like stats and result. You and your cronies are under the "neeld delusion of grandeur".
  20. Your kidding UH. Why get rid of moloney, rivers & petered and pick up Byrnes, gillies and rodan. Talk about throwing the gearbox in reverse. Absolute incompetence.
  21. It's pretty obvious ain't it? . He spits in our face with his comments like, "I am doing exactly what I have been employed to do". Any excuse to blame someone other than himself. That pot shot was for the people that hired him. Professor nutjob, you've done it again.
  22. Mature recruits are called mature recruits for a reason, they are ready to play afl footy. Anything else you want me to explain pm24? Maybe that footy is not just a gameplan and fitness, it is about a thirst for victory and domination that results in a chemical exuding from the clenched of you jaws. A big spirit that thrives on combat and self expression. It's not soccer, it's more like freestyle electricity that is harnessed into a lightning bolt that finds the quickest way from point a to b. Unfortunately for me, neeld does not believe in arousing the spirit. He is a sad soul. Probably explains his weird face twitching. Professor nutjob, you've done it again. Another 12 goal belting. Yippee. One step closer to regime change.
