These late match goals are crucial for percentage!
-
Anybody but Fritsch and Gus. Cwags and Maynard. The former are so far off it you may as well send them back to try and get a little of their mojo back for the 2nd half of the season. And for Fritsch i would only be bringing him back as a wing or HF after showing some stellar form in that position at Casey. That might mean leaving him there for the rest of the season (if he doesn't).

Horrible coaching today. Fritsch and Brayshaw should not be playing and Pruess had to come in for Smith...and that's just for damage control. 1 goal in 2.5 quarters....complete embarrassment . I saw one supporter leave half way through the 2nd cussing on the way out ?
-
Pruess was the obvious in for Smith today. Why you would want Smith as a relief ruckman I'll never know. Pruess offers a bail out option deep that Smith will never bring and is also the 5th highest ranked player of ground balls inside 50 for the season. No brainer but let's stick with semi concussed Smith ?

Williamstown v Casey Demons - Round 8
Demon Dynasty replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
That's more than out entire score here OD! Tell him to cut that out! -
A shame we had no one to come in for a horribly put of form Gus...And the clincher for a solid loss today was Spargo for Salem. Same old probs at the G, can't cover a.hard running spread team with a bit of overlap and skill coming inside 50. Been happening for years at this ground.

Hard to fathom why Fritsch is playing and why he's playing down back???????

Round 10, 2019 Demons vs Giants (MCG) - Version B Pure Stats Predictor has the Giants winning by 4 points Team weighted score from our last round and the Giant's previous round vs the Hawks (including adjustment for Ins/Outs this round) Demons 57.15 Giants 58.96 Following Buck's suggestion i have used the Giant's stats from their match two weeks ago against the Hawks at the G. The Hawks being a team playing competitively at AFL level vs the Blues from last week (in the first predictor above) who obviously aren't. A massive turnaround and to be expected given how bad the Blues are at this point. Strap yourselves in folks...this one looks like it's going right down to the line...again! COIN FLIP!

I'll preface this by saying i would not be looking to release either right now but given the OP's question... Hore by a fair way at this point. This is not a blight on Frosty either who is having a reasonably good year so far, albeit still the occasional brain fade. Frosty with 78 games no longer a rookie. To be playing at the level Hore is already playing at, as a rookie with only 7 matches behind him, is potential / budding champion material and puts Hore a notch or two above Frosty for mine. FWIW this also shows out statistically. In the weighted comparative averages i keep, Hore is presently ranked 5th overall and Frosty 17th. Defenders might make the top 5 once every three to four weeks or a well rounded veteran might make the top 5 or 10 over an entire season. But for a rookie defender to be sitting that high is astonishing. Frosty's weighted score of 2.172 so far this season is also 5% higher than his 2018 average of 2.078 so not too shabby. Hore currently sitting on 2.982 To put that in some perspective the highest ranked defender for the entire 2018 season was Lewis at 3.626 who is presently sitting on 2.225

Good point buck! If i had or find the time i might just do that. I don't normally go back beyond the last week, as my aim is a crude attempt to try and capture the opp's latest rough form (without spending hours on it doing last three round averages or whatever) but in this instance that seems a better alternative.

Loose cannon! Got away with post gate. Sealed the game with this 2nd brain fart.

Round 10, 2019 Demons vs Giants (MCG) Pure Stats Predictor has the Giants winning by 65 points Team weighted score from last round (including adjustment for Ins/Outs this round) Demons 57.15 Giants 85.48 Top 6 ranked players (weighted statistical composite) last round Demons Giants Aggregate: 23.85 34.10 Bottom 6 Aggregate: 8.03 12.78 *Omitted for this match Tip: Use landscape mode if viewing from a mobile. One of the biggest weighted team scores, top 6 and bottom 6 aggregate scores i've ever seen since compiling these over the last 3 years. However, we know these figures are coming from a very one sided match against the lowly Blues. What do we take from that? Very hard to say but but what we can say is the last time we were coming in against a team coming off a match against the Blues the predictor had us losing by 22 points vs the Swans in Rnd 4. We ended up winning away at the SCG by 26. So lets say the predictor is off by the aggregate because of a very poor Blues outlier last week and we are 48 points the better (maximum optimism statistically!), we are effectively still down by 17 points. So, not as bad as the above but suggests a loss is still (statistically) likely. But as we know this is all historical and merely a snapshot in time. And football matches are not won and lost on historical data. It's 22 v 22 so we live in hope that we can bring home the bacon. 1 point ahead at the right time and our season's still alive!

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Demon Dynasty replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
I actually enjoy my rare visits there L36 although i doubt I'll be checking that block out anytime soon. I'm assuming you are suggesting some sort of mad fully glassed minimalist looking sky scraper that can be seen from 20kms in any general direction. -
Rest assured that would be a very small minority TU! A time honoured tradition passed down from generation to generation and shared amongst all genuine minion households for over half a century.

Possibly a slight change in demographic since then L36! -
Meanwhile, up near the banana coast...

Chook he is in such good form and yet no mention in the press so the FD must have thought GWS would fall for it if they named him in the McGoos! There goes that cunning plan! ?

Agree DV. Harmes is in career best form and is even heading Clarry right now. They will need to run someone with him. Stick Gus on Greene and try & run him back into some form or at least keep Greene reasonably quiet. Would be instructing Harmesy to go hell for leather attacking with a smidgen of defensive as required. Early days to be asking for a run with from Lockhart IMO. Just finding his feet and reasonable form.

Lets face it OD, it's hardly match of the round. You got off cheap. I'm surprised he didn't ask for a 3 course a la carte in the Long room!
