  1. Tmac is not a real lead up KF threat imo LN. On rare occasions he might get out on a leash but usually he's playing higher up the ground looking to intercept and repel anyway. As i said earlier i wouldn't expect LJ to play a significant lead up target. Plays his role well deep however. Brings the ball to ground for the smalls. I'd leave him playing that role plus the relief ruck we've seen till now. Its working a treat. Big M can do it but only when resting or occasionally pushing so it aint gonna be a long term option. Brown or Majak a must for mine. The opp also wont be as prepared for that decoy (or maybe not a decoy!?) type set up either, which may work in our favour on the day!
  2. We still need a genuine target to lead up the middle or thereabouts to straighten us up LN. Even if its a bit of a decoy that allows the likes of Tracc, Gawn, Kozzie and Melk (who i don't see as a genuine threat) to do their work out wide, under a deep bomb or around the drop.
  3. Tracc is handy. I don't expect or believe the last two will impact at all. Too early for LJ as a rookie but you never know. Petty in for May. Majak or Brown for Frittata
  4. Yes i should pull my head in a little OD. Fritsch out as we speak!
  5. He was involved in plenty including many of their chains forward, particularly off HB. Without Selwood they probably lose that by another two or three goals. While his slippy arm raise is annoying it still works after all these years and so many players still haven't learned or at least try to attack him lower at the hips. There is by-play in every match. Some teams more than others. Joel dished it...Kozzie gave some back. Kozzie may well have dished it out first after that half time goal and we just saw the retaliation from Selwood thinking he initiated it. Who knows who cares. Regardless, good competitive stuff that builds rivalries i reckon. And one is definitely building here. I for one am loving our matches against the Cats since we rolled them twice at the end of 2018 and again on Sunday. You beauty Newc!
  6. Meaning it looks a little on the feminine side D. No sleight on the girls of course. Just think the poppy is a tad big/bold here. I'm sure others will think otherwise and love it but i'm a bit old school.
  7. A great cause but when i first saw this on twitter i had to double check it wasn't the AFLW version ?
  8. I think the artist must have put that in as a hint to the developers to go with footy instead of cricket IWS. He's obviously a keen footy fan. Wait...is that OD's signature in the bottom right corner i see!!??
  9. A labor of love thanks Buck Is alot of what you mention the upside of the Burgess factor coming to the fore? Certainly in these games up to our neck aren't we. Let's hope that continues. Some lovely work LG. Would love to know who our best are at hitting up targets coming inside 50. Tracc No.1 at getting it inside as you have highlighted but from what i've witnessed i doubt he would be our No.1 at connecting. If he can improve this part of his game his impact will go through the roof and we might start slaying opponents on the scoreboard occasionaly. The other aspect of his game is decision making. Sometimes i feel he tries to be too selfless. Looking to thread the needle a little too often and trying the super hard pass. When instead he might be better off going for broke inside 50 and shooting at goal, even from 40+. He has a big hoof on him on the run. Hopefully this ability to decide when to share and when to shoot will improve with time. If we think he's good now, his game will go up another notch if he can improve here imv. Someone pulled out a stat yesterday on SEN that suggested that 90%+ of wins this year have been by the team winning the marks inside 50 count. They were highlighting how important the set shot is under less pressure which makes sense. The improvement of pressure i50 is a ripper so far. I particularly like the last two here GT. We have so often struggled with uncontested (spread issues) and we're presently sitting 3rd! The pressure side also. While not a new thing, i believe we were somewhere near or at the top in 2018 here, it's a fabulous sign albeit early days yet.
  10. A very rough look at some available stats i accrued to Round 21, 2019 vs this Season in terms of Kicking Efficiency. Some of the current players weren't around in 2019 or were injured hence the blanks. If we had access to them, Kick Ratings would be the only genuine gauge given various kicks under pressure / not under pressure / extreme pressure etc eg, out the back circle work by defenders (little pressure) vs under heat through the middle / stoppages & congestion (significantly higher degrees of pressure). Regardless of the lack of pressure down back for many of a defender's kicks, to have so many of our defenders kicking at such a high level is certainly a strong positive. I seem to recall Jetta was the usual leader here over the years at around 80% with the others trailing. Rivers the second best in the team as a rookie...outstanding. Fritta going from a defensive role back forward likely to have had some impact on his result. Under much more pressure generally given the positions / role being played vs defenders but Jones, ANB, Tracc & Viney might need to do a bit more work with Choco! 11. Nothing wrong with an old school classy mullet BDA surely!?....
  12. No i purchased one as i reckon the odds of us appearing in one are growing ever since Kozzie & then Choco were snapped up. They have completely changed the mood & general player landscape down there imho. Don't buy one at your peril folks. Can feel it in the bones and these are pretty old Demon bones.
  13. Fabulous vibe happening. Hoping this will take us to a GF, injuries aside and a bit of luck. Injection of Choco...wow just wow.
  14. Interesting article here from Montagna. Unfortunately no mention of where we sit. Not sure why they wouldn't mention where all clubs are ranked... https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-news-2021-afl-trends-statistics-leigh-montagna-kicks-inside-50-sydney-swans-errol-gulden/news-story/3210392132c37aed98d6ad0f9e1a8fd8
  15. That's the worst of the lot imv. Duck egg's looking like a contender here
  16. No mention of a football oval or anything football related in that article. Appears as if they are looking to cater for almost every recreational pastime bar footy.
  17. I really don't understand the obsession the MFC has with having to be within cooee of the MCG. As you have highlighted on many occasions OD, all avenues close by have either been taken (Westpac centre) and/or are not economically viable or likely in an access/ pre existing community space / public reserve sense.
  18. Only five?? Very generous of you Chook! How about.... all those who suggested / agreed this was a good idea ; 1. Attend the Manor for a jolly good thrashing from uncle... at least 10 lashes; 2. Exit fee to avoid further lashings... a bottle of Henschke, Hill of Grace 2012 3. Attend 5 senior training sessions as the marking / tackle bag; and 4. In the off seaaon, shout Jack to an all you can eat pancake session at the Pancake Parlour That should just about do it
  19. Club twitter just now... "The club's running unbelievable at the moment – 4-0, couldn't be in a better place. Probably in recent years, when the other teams have got a run on against us, we've been a little bit negative, but we've matured as a group and we're handling it a lot better."
  20. Great news. Hopefully a big prize in one of those.years.
  21. I only caught the very end unfortunately Pates where he was speaking about how he got his nic name. It was roughly 8.15am so i'll try and retrieve the stream thingy and post here (or no doubt someone will)
