COVID & AFL 2021
Some regional ppl are also guilty of coming in to and through Melb and back again though Jaded. It's not all one way. I personally witnessed a number of country folk flouting the ring of steel last year and taking routes around the check points to get in to Melb metro and out again. In addition, i could be wrong, but pretty sure freight carriers are still able to get through the interstate borders and drop/pick up their goods here...then head to the next state or back again (with permits). There's plenty of ways in which, even if we get back to zero, this bloody thing can sneak back in again and send us all back into yet another lockdown in a flash. Look at the 5th one caused by the removalist guys (who i believe may have since been banned from entering from NSW since). While I'm sure there are likely to be alot more going from the burbs out to regional and doing dumb things (eg wearing no masks & going inside public places / half masking etc), it also goes both ways. Nuckle heads don't just live inside a ring when it's in place!

Tommy Sparrow
The Sparrow, Melk, JJ & Harmes flip flop 'undecided / NQR' ongoing debates to me are an indication we are still lacking some real silk at the moment through the middle. Something we need to try and rectify whether at the draft or trade table. For now we've got a bunch of ok to average players who might 'just' fill a role on a good day but unfortunately aren't quite capable of taking it to the level many feel will make a difference to the present team's fortunes most weeks.

Rnd 22, 2021 MCG - Demons vs Crows Our 2nd best conversion rate for the year only behind our Rnd 7 match vs the Kangas Disposals Per Goal 23.4 % In50s Goal 30.8 Conversion % 69.6 This Rnd Disposals Per Goal 22.0 % In50s Goal 27.1 Conversion % 66.7 Not getting overly excited with this win both from what i saw and statistically. The team score only 6.5% better than our average team score in 2019 which was a horrid season against one of the worst teams in the AFL this season is a real worry for mine. Having said that we were missing two of our best players (on their day) in Macca and May so still a fair amount of upside. The three under performers / disappointments for mine, especially given how we lost to the Crows last time were Gus, Sparrow & Melk. The two big positives that came out of today for me were Lingers and Salem who appear to be back to somewhere near their best. And then Dogga, who seems to have gone to another level since his match against the Suns and must be a shoe in for the Rising Star surely. When was the last time an MFC player kicked 7? Joel Smith signs on for 2022
I don't get this signing. Havent seen him stick his hand up at VFL level to this point. Also appears to be injury prone in a big way. White is a better player in every aspect at VFL level for mine on his day (also has the occasional off game) and he's not on our list. Could be a late bloomer but surely there's plenty of high end talented alternatives out there to fill his place?

NON MFC: Rd 22 2021
I doubt it Mr Leg. The AFL will want as many stars up and running as possible me thinks. They've already taken too many hits in this pandemic.

That's obvious Mr Old. Subliminally your predictor also hates that awful abbreviation. Tip: Use 'DEMONS' instead FTW! 😁

Training Ground?
Series 589, Episode 5, Sept 2175 (Above: TonE Robinson aka CyborgClonE Model BLDRIK-188) In this enthralling episode it's time to take a look back at old Melbourne where we focus on an area once collectively known as Yarra, Melbourne & Collective (Olympic/AAMI) Parks (YMCA) district, when it was once a thriving bustling sporting precinct early last century. In this episode our legendary and most knowledgeable host, TonE , walks us through the entire precinct. With particular focus on the sacred sporting grounds prior to the abolition of contact sport (2045) and resulting demolition of this former precinct by Australia's largest political party of the time, Australian Society of Inclusiveness and Conservation (ASIC) in conjunction with other influencers (such as the respected and still functioning local Richmond district's LESMOKAFATONE+), circa 2048. Of course now known as the New Flora, Fauna & Fungi (incorporating Injecting Site) Inclusion (NFFFI) District, officially opened over 100 years ago on 5 Nov 2050...See More Gosch's Paddock YMCA district, undergoing a major upgrade...
