  1. "Other clubs may be coming, but we're going places"
  2. I don't know about you, but I was celebrating our great victory in gaining picks 1 and 2.
  3. He has a bit of nasty in him too, which I reckon will hold him in good stead for the rest of his career while he gets hassled by defenders. He isn't affraid to give as good as he gets.
  4. That kick for goal has ensured that Jordan McMahon's career is not a complete waste of time.
  5. Liam Jurrah- promoting violence against St Kilda supporters since 2009
  6. Hahaha. I don't sit behind the goals
  7. While we obviously can't get Scully to train with us before the draft, I assume we could somehow plan a training program for him which we just happen to drop in his lap before November...
  8. The last few weeks he has improved his kicking dramatically, and is making better decisions. I love that he is lowering those eyes when passing the footy. Great to see. We forget how young he is, or at least I do.
  9. dear god NO! IMO pick 2 is off the table unless something extraordinarily great comes along. I'm talking J.Selwood or Roughead.
  10. He is magic. Great to know that we're not losing that bit of x-factor with Robbo's departure. The Wizard has it covered. His first goal was just stupid. I mean come on!
  11. Agreed. It was a really positive way to finish the season, even if we are the wooden spooners. I compare it to how I felt this time last year, being demolished by Richmond, and there really is no comparison. What a fantastic farewell for Robbo, Whelan and Wheatley, three fantastic guys who have made a big mark on the MFC.
  12. This season was not nearly as bad as the previous two. We saw real signs of improvement, we unearthed some future stars, and we finish the year with two of the best kids in the country coming our way. This season was the beginning of a successful era for the MFC, and when you consider that this time last year we got belted by Richmond, you can see just how far we've already come. Bring on 2010... you know we're coming :D
  13. Martin just signed a new 2 year deal. He ain't going anywhere. I'm guessing that they are finally letting him rest whatever injury it is he's been carrying.
  14. Wouldn't it be great now that pick one is sewn up to also secure pick 2? St Kilda will beat us even if we started playing tomorrow. Try as we may, we won't win, and that is a very good thing. One more week and then until next year we can claim that we are the second biggest winners of 2009 (behind the premiers that is).
  15. If true that's great news and gives Bailey the peace of mind that he deserves in order to try and formulate our rise to the top. People who expect ridiculous improvements in 2010 needs to realise that the natural improvement we're hoping to see because of the likes of Watts, Blease, Strauss, Scully, Trengove (?) etc... is not going to happen overnight. These kids will all be first year players (Watts' 2009 doesn't count as far as I'm concerned), and rarely do first year players dominate. Having said that, if we can keep our list relatively healthy, I'd expect us to double our wins next year and finish on about 8 wins. We won 5 this year (lets be honest we beat Richmond, because even if you believe the mark should have been paid, we would have beaten them by 10 goals if we didn't tank), which is 1 better than last year, and we've been a lot more competitive for a long longer. On that basis, Bailey deserves two years to show us what he can do with the list that he has constructed.
  16. No worries princess. Btw you have no clue what I do or don't know or what I can and can't say so don't waste your time dispensing out false advice Have a lovely day.
  17. Agreed. Hopefully he pulls a massive one and leaves on a high, literally. And if Wheels plays, I hope he lays a few big bumps and tackles, and that Wheatley kicks a long goal. They all deserve to do what they enjoy doing best in their last game (possibly).
  18. There is a big difference between saying that someone should retire and has deficiencies to his game, and calling someone delusional. But because personal abuse and offensive comments have become so ingrained in your posts, you obviously fail to recognise that. I know for a fact that Robbo recognises that his chances of going elsewhere are slim, but he is still fit and passionate about the game and wants a crack at a premiership. That is his right and does not make him in the least bit delusional. Is Wheatley delusional for saying that he'll happily play elsewhere if offered the chance?
  19. I agree 100%. Spencer has the biggest scope for improvement out of the 4 ruckmen currently on our list. It took Jamar 7 years to kick 5 goals in the AFL. I doubt it will take Spencer that long to come of age. He needs 15kg and 2 years before we can start seeing what he can do. For now, he has shown enough to tell me that he'll be a better ruck prospect than PJ and maybe even Meesen.
  20. I told you all along that Robbo has every right to put his hand up and try to play somewhere else next year. You on the other hand decided to disrespect him, basically stating that he was delusional for doing so. Just thought I'd congratulate you for getting off your arrogant high ground for once <_< His 5 goal performance yesterday a good enough indication for you that he doesn't only perform against poor sides in winning teams?
  21. Has improved out of sight this year, both with his rucking and general field play. The 5 goal haul today was something I personally never ever thought I'd see from him. As I said, it would be unfortunate to lose him now, after we've invested so much time in developing him. After today's Carey-like performance, I want a top 10 pick
  22. Yes, what a disgrace that he couldn't perform at FF. I was expecting a 10 goal haul! He played 80% of the game up forward with the ball sailing straight over his head. It is never going to be his natural position, and that Bailey kept him out of the centre shows you how highly he rates McLean and his ability to help us win the ball. When pushed into the middle, he got some nice clearances and moved the ball forward with class, as per usual. 6- Jetta 5- Jamar 4- Sylvia 3- Davey 2- Robbo 1- McDonald
  23. And that tap to LJ was magnificent! He is very athletic and quick for someone who is about 200cm tall, and his kicking is really improving. Just think how little time he has spent learning the 3 positions he has found himself playing this year, and you can see how remarkable he is in his ability to adapt.
  24. Going out with a bang he is. And good to see him finally standing up against some quality opponents... :D
