  1. Can I please just point out that no matter the colours or logo, the cotton polo will never ever match the polyester jumper. It is chemically impossible for a synthetic and a natural fabric, let alone when one is woven and one is knitted, to match 100% in colour. Even more so when one is yarn dyed and one is screen printed. Especially vivid colours like red. Yes you can get it much better than in the above image, but it will never be exactly the same. Fashion lesson over. Carry on.
  2. I really need to rock that hat It matches nothing I own, but it has to work I am really glad to see that after all those years our merchandise is looking slick and modern. No reason to look like a hobo from the 90s if you feel like wearing footy merch. Whoever is designing the apparel has done a great job. Also if you're reading this, I'm down for a job in June. Thanks.
  3. I love it. Love the logo, love the clever gorilla marketing, love that we are doing something fun and modern and different Absolutely brilliant!
  4. Completely agree He had the balls and the relationships to get the info I actually want to hear. Anyone can go to training and tell me what they can see (not that that isn't appreciated!). Not everyone can go to training and provide inside info.
  5. I dunno what the worry about Brayshaw is Maybe he is on a different program given he missed a lot of pre season last year? Maybe he is focusing on muscle gain first? Or maybe because he played so much more than expected last year, he is on a slower starting program to protect his body.
  6. I doubt it. If the shoe was on the other foot, and Viv was contracted but Terlich wasn't and we cut Viv loose mid contract, he would be a lot more annoyed. We have to honour contracts, I'm sorry that we made crappy list management decisions, but it isn't Terlich's fault. It is the best solution given we need list space for draft and rookie promotions. Viv only needs to speak to Jetta to understand that this is not the end of the world.
  7. I'm pretty sure that even less people want to see me in Lycra riding a scooter with a beard than they do Stye
  8. I have about a 4 day window between unemployment and overseas travel early next year. Might try to get down to training and get my last hit of footy for a while. If I do, I'll be sure to take creepy iPhone photos and write a really bad report where I get every player confused. I'm sure you all look forward to that! I think the last time I attended training I was in high school... and we were playing finals.... so about 10 years ago. Depressing thought.
  9. Good stuff. Reminds me when back in the day everyone on Demonland (myself included), were gushing over a midfield of Bell, Sylvia, McLean & Moloney. Epic lols
  10. Unfair. We had a decent season and could do a Doggies next year We have the most exciting key forward in the competition and when we play well we are exciting to watch I don't expect 7 Friday night games like we are some sort of Carlton like superstar team (sarcasm meter just blew), but at least one Friday night game and home games against Essendon, Carlton or Richmond, would be nice. Also one of only 2 Vic teams made to play in Geelong. Plenty of other rubbish Vic teams who never go near the joint.
  11. Lucky I already paid up my membership. There is no way, with missing the first 10 rounds that I would buy a membership so I can attend like 7 crap games next season. Honestly, it is hardly worth the $500 to get a membership these days. It's just a donation to a needy cause.
  12. Terrible draw No Friday nights, only playing Carlton and Brisbane once, playing St Kilda at Etihad both times, again Geelong in Geelong, Hawthorn twice. 4 home games at the G against away teams. Absolutely rubbish draw. I just don't understand how the AFL can get away with this bias scheduling. From both a financial and a footy perspective, this is bad. The footy results should be up to us to control, but financially it is hard to make a buck when they make us play Gold Coast, GWS and Adelaide at the G. Not to mention our own decision to play in Darwin, which always comes back to bite us. P.S.- even after beating Geelong in Geelong last year, they still couldn't give us the chance to play them at the G. [censored] joke.
  13. Well then we have to honour his contract But he might be happy to get paid out and get on with his life. He can get a paid gig at a local league too. The club will obviously tell him that they have no intention of giving his senior games next year. Then it is up to him how he wants to proceed. It's a delicate situation and it needs to be handled gracefully or it will put a lot of our players off side. You can't just dishonour contracts when it suits you. It has to be done with both parties mutually agreeing to the decision.
  14. Could be backing himself to earn a nice large contract at the end of next year I also think he would have clauses in his contract that ensure he gets another contract if he plays a certain number of games next year.
  15. If the player agrees, it's good for us. Better than Terlich getting 3 years. I mean really, Harmes is just as much chance to be a bust than a star. If he goes on and has a great season, we resign him, he gets a bigger contract and everyone is happy. If he's a bust, we don't have to worry about paying him out. As our list gets better, it will get harder to clear spots each year, especially as we are such a young list. We don't want to clog up our list spaces with long contract for players who we don't know are going to be part of our long term future
  16. Thanks. I will definitely be subscribing. I looked at doing it as part of my membership, but as I'll only be missing 3 months it was cheaper to pay as I go, rather than for the whole year. Given I've spent $600 on a membership I won't use for half a season, I figured I had done my bit already. And yes I am aware of the late nights and early mornings sacrifices that I'll need to make in order to watch the games. I'll be on a 4 months trip, so it's not like I'll be rushing off anywhere. Definitely worth it. Just hope the internet is good everywhere I go, especially in Scandinavia.
  17. I would like to see him tried as a small defender. Jetta started out as a forward and didn't excel because he wasn't quick enough. Like Jetta, JHK is tough and had enough speed and neat kick to play in the backline. Jetta should adopt him and teach him everything he knows. Given his history of injury, I would like to have a Jetta backup anyway.
  18. Does anyone know if you can watch NAB Cup games from overseas? Is it the same as regular home & away games? I assume the Craigieburn game won't be shown, but what about the Saints game? I know I'm clutching at straws and should just come to terms with the fact that I will be missing half the season.
  19. It should be. Was an away game last year. Only fair we share it.
  20. It was a great game last year and hopefully it'll be the same this year Spewing I'll miss it!
  21. Not great for us financially, but a good chance to win and get off to a good start, which in the long term is financially beneficial. Will be watching from Tuscany, jealous of everyone who can be there live to cheer on Petracca.
  22. We walked out like "see ya later [censored]"
