  1. It's amazing how even while on the other side of the world, this club's utter inapptitude and continuous disappointment still gets to me. Way to ruin my [censored] day from the other side of the world. This club's moto should be "we won't cease to disappoint until we cease to exist".
  2. Didn't watch the game but you don't even have the watch us lose games like these to know what's going on. Since last year I've said that Hogans attitude stinks. He will never be an elite player unless he grows up. His constant sooking is pathetic and I blame the club for not stamping this out already. I would put him on notice. Give him a target of second efforts he has to achieve or drop him. We can't bloody tip toe around him because we are too scared the first potential star we've had in decades is going to leave. His attitude sends a bad message to the rest of the young team. Secondly, I will never understand why we recruited Lumumba. Let alone why we select him ahead of guys like Stretch. We need speed and we need kicking efficiency. Last year Lumumba was god awful and I see that nothing has changed. I am so over being disappointed by this club. It feels like nothing will ever change. We make such small steps forward and then undo those steps immediately. It's exhausting. We are exhausting.
  3. I just knew we would lose this match. The more things change the more they seem to stay the same with this club. Still haven't won 2 in a row. Losing to a top up team. Players not putting in. Hogan being a sook. Not good enough and frankly embarrassing.
  4. Back to bed for me. Glad I woke myself up at 5am for this.
  5. And everyone here thought this would be a smashing. Oh dear!
  6. I wouldn't be surprised I would be mighty annoyed but not surprised. Also I'll be thanking my lucky stars that I'm on the other side of the planet where nobody can remind me of such humiliation (except for on social media).
  7. He will not kick a bag. They will put every ounce of their energy into smashing him and triple teaming him, and given his previous display of attitude when things aren't going his way, I would say he won't kick more than 3. Watts usually plays well against Essendon and given his current form I bet he will kick more goals than Hogan.
  8. Brayshaw!!! Love this kid to death. Glad we dropped a tall and kept Dunn out. Essendon are small up forward and we were lacking run. Both H and Brayshaw bring that in spades. Hopefully H is over his first year blues with us and starts delivering. He was highly disappointing last year but brings the sort of half back attack we really need.
  9. Frankly I'm amazed by the level of confidence here This is exactly the type of game we have previously lost. Opposition is struggling, coming off a good win, high expectations... Hope I'm wrong and we do smash them, but I'm not so confident.
  10. Would be ironic if he left now. Delivers on promise, leaves to another team. It's very Melbourne like. Doubt it'll happen though.
  11. Thank you to whoever posted the last quarter of the game on YouTube. Not sure if they post on Demonland or not, but thanks to them I was finally able to watch a bit of the game on my phone with third world internet. Hooray! Was a great last quarter which was won primarily due to our midfield dominance (wow Oliver is amazing). The only disappointment for me was the lapse of concentration in the last 2 minutes. First letting them hold possession down back and kick one, and secondly letting them get a clean clearance with 11 seconds to go. Other than that, I was super impressed with our fast ball movement and seeing Garlett on the wing reinforces my opinion that we desperately need elite speed on the outside ASAP. I assume Kent isn't being tried on the wing due to tank and fitness issues, but he strikes me as a good short term solution.
  12. Since we won't win it this year, I'll be barracking hard for the Dogs to win it. Not sure it's possible, but gees wouldn't it be nice to see someone new win the damn thing? Not to mention one of the poor clubs! If it's Hawthorn, Geelong, West Coast or Sydney again, we may as well give up.
  13. Best on? Injuries? What's wrong with Hogan and his 3 goals? How was Oliver? When should I buy finals tickets? Help a sister with third world internet out!
  14. A summary for those of us who slept thru most of it only to wake up to dying Internet? Best on? Injuries? What's wrong with Hogan and his 3 goals? How was Oliver? When should I buy finals tickets?
  15. Anyone who questions the importance of Roos' work over the past 2 seasons, was obviously asleep the previous 6 seasons. We were on the brink of extinction. Look at us now. Just two years and we are a different club. We owe as much to Roos and Jackson as we do to any other person in the history of this club.
  16. So jealous of everyone who gets to watch today. First game of the season is always so exciting, the hope it brings is like no other. Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow to a great first win and some delightful highlights of Oliver kicking 4 goals. Go Dees!!!
  17. In Italy now, but had all my stuff stolen in France. Worse thing is I can't watch us play. Also that I have literally nothing left, but all that [censored] is replaceable. Finally watching us not suck is a once in a lifetime experience. Not sure it's worth spending the money to watch broken bits of play on an iPhone.
  18. Either I've been on holidays for too long, or everyone here has lost the damn plot So much rage and we haven't played a single minute yet. Sadly I can't watch any of the game as all my electronics were stolen, but I'll be following on my phone with crap country-side internet. Go Dees!
  19. Still haven't seen a single minute of any of our NAB wins but nice to wake up again to a win. Can we see a real difference in how we move the ball?
  20. I'm really sorry for all the Garland haters
  21. I wish hotel internet wasn't so awful so I could watch the replay and make up my own mind regarding the game. Can't even load the highlights videos
  22. Woke up in the middle of nowhere in France to read that we won. I was pretty excited until I came to Demonland and read that we are awful and Tom McDonald needs to be sacked. On the plus side, you know we are doing better than before when we criticize the team when they are winning!
  23. If I was in the country I'd be there in a heartbeat Go and support the boys and hopefully we give them a mighty smacking!
  24. Nice to wake up overseas and see that we won. When I checked at 5am we were losing and Brayshaw apparently did an ACL, so it's a lovely turnaround. For those who watched it, can you see a noticeable change in our game plan? How was Hogan? And is it worth watching the replay?
  25. Not ideal for my stress levels, but makes perfect sense If he's worth a million a year now, just imagine what he will be worth this time next year. He has two years left. If he signs with a year to go, that's pretty good. Here is hoping we start getting our [censored] together on the field. It's the only way to keep our good players, not just Jesse.
