We've gone to sleep. Absolutely getting hammered everywhere. Defence asleep. Melbourne of old is back. God love this ground and those mother[censored] Saints.

Don't be Melbourne snobs, it's ok to go past Richmond station. Head to Etihad and yell extra loud for me. I would be there in a heartbeat if I wasn't overseas (which is generally way better than being at home, except when we are winning!)

Another sleepless night coming up for me with the game starting at the crack of dawn local time. Hoping for a win but feeling a lot less confident than I was last week. We owe the Saints. I mean who can forget the sh!tfest that was last year's game where we lost the impossible. I don't think I ever wanted to punch the Toump more. Luckily he is gone now.

Just like any Hogan thread really Beautiful story of compassion from the Trac. Just another reason to wish this kid every success in the future.

Loved his comment post game that he needs Hogan to start dropping some marks so he can get more crumbs. I haven't seen a player who has such a great knack for bobbing up when the team needs it most and kick a goal. He saved our bacon from a Richmond comeback about 3 times last weekend. What a genuinely awesome freebie and a must sign for the club. And also well done to him for turning things around. He obviously wasn't at peak professionalism when we got him.

I have no problems limiting the number of young kids in the team who are struggling to play 80%+ TOG. With limited rotations, no subs and a fast Etihad track, we are one mid game injury away from disaster. Hunt, Wagner and Trac make for enough inexperience. You bring in two more mids in Oliver and Brayshaw and it's simply a risk we don't need right now Yes it's a strange feeling, but we are not in a rebuild mode anymore. We are obviously trying to win and make finals and we need to have the fitest and most in form team out there, not put development of kids as our top priority. It's a nice change.

Wanted to fly home from Italy for the weekend then fly back, but it's a little out of budget. I will be up at 5am to watch it though. Super excited!!!

Spewing I'll be missing his debut, but excited to see what he can bring. The hype around him is so big, I hope he just takes it in his stride and does his thing on Saturday. Super exciting times to be a Dees fan.

Tyson was amazing against Richmond. Back to his good old days. Good to have. He's an asset when in form, especially as he kicks goals which makes him as good as gold. We are so quick to dismiss players. I remember people were calling for Viney's head too. Good times.

How nice it is to be hated and not pitied.

Saints are fast and Etihad is a quick ground. Saints have a couple of big injury concerns. To me the most important thing this week, especially with a 6 day break is to pick a fresh team. That means that if any of our kids are sore or tired they get a break. The beauty right now is that we lose nothing if we bring in Trac, Oliver and say ANB for fresh legs. We can't afford to have slow lachonic patches against the Saints. They'll kill us on the counterattack as they've done before.

Losing against Essendon will cost us dearly this season. In such a tight competition, to lose to such a lowly rubbish team, is a sign that we don't really deserve to make finals yet. Will need to pull of another miracle win to make up for it.

Don't get me started on this [censored] home game at Etihad against a team that plays all their home games at Etihad, thus having a complete advantage. Awesome work by the AFL yet again.

Essendon game will cost us finals IMO. Looking at the draw I think we have 8 games that we are very unlikely to win unless miracles happen. We must win all the "easy" games as well as win twice in NT to have any chance of finals. Not holding my breath. Even an 11-wins season is a huge tick for us and gives us a platform for next season.

I would rather Reiwoldt than Montagna next week. Montagna is the Brent Harvey of St Kilda, kills us each time we play them.

We only won by 33 points. It's a tough life. Remember when we were losing by 100 points a week? Yeah me too.

Come on Clint, have a drink and smile. We won 2 in a damn row. We ruined the season of Collingwood and Richmond. We are on 3 wins out of 5 games. Trac, Trenners and your lovechild Vanders still to come. Life's good man!

Lid's officially off... I spent the last quarter in a clothes store that had free wifi... Not shopping but listening to SEN and swearing and cheering. People thought I was a freak. Was totally worth it Cannot wait to watch the replay.

Watched that clip 5 times already. Usually I'm against remonstrating and being silly, but that is the best thing I've seen a Melbourne player do in a long time. Watts has been a star this season. Rance couldn't handle it and went for the cheapest shot possible. Viney did what all of us wanted to do and I'm proud of him for doing it. Stood up for a mate. That's what the ANZAC spirit is all about.
