I don't think anyone is happy about this, I don't even think the club is really happy about this. But we need the cash, and if that cash helps us get better coaches, better physios, pay for extra prostitutes for Hogan, than it might be worth the short term pain. At the end of the day, if we can get another 10,000 members, we probably won't need to sell home games. But we may not get another 10,000 members because we sell those home games. It is the chicken and the egg scenario. I do hope, as everyone has already said, that we can at least make the AFL give us the Darwin game a week before the bye, or at least give us a 7 day break before and after that game, and not schedule another long interstate trip 2 weeks later (thanks for that!).

I know Stretch only had like 12 disposals, but god he stands out like a gold nugget in sh!t with his brilliant disposal!

I'm pretty sure Watts is waiting for his manager to return from an overseas trip Watts and to a lesser extent Kent is not my worry Tom McDonald is one I'm starting to fret over. We need to get his signature ASAP.

Why not? Bugg's disposal is as unreliable as Grimes'. Grimes is a better mark. Grimes is as good if not better defensively. Why is Grimes not as good as Bugg?

Calling Picket Fence.... *crickets* We must must must sign him. There are no ifs or buts about it. I'd rather overpay him than be left without a single KPD on the list.

I reckon he lost a bit of pace after that nasty hamstring injury, and I think it actually made him a better player. Rather than relying solely on his pace, he had to get smarter and work harder to get his hands on the ball. He is a lot less lazy than he was earlier on, even this season. Credit to him, he has really come on and for a small forward to finish with around 30 goals, is a solid effort. Also doesn't hurt that he and Jesse are good buddies. Lets hope they both sign soon.

Do I think Grimes is best 22 going into the future? Probably not. Do I think that he is a fantastic depth player who can cover multiple roles and will always give you 100%? Absolutely Everyone is talking about him being done next year, and that may be the case. If another club gives him more opportunities I would be absolutely thrilled for him, but if the choice was cutting him loose for nothing or keeping him on, I would keep him on. There are a few others who I would cut first (Terlich, Michie, Newton, Dawes??), and given we do not have a 1st round pick this year, and are not likely to make more than 4-5 list changes, Grimes may well stick around, and I for one hope he does. It is an absolute credit to him that he continued to be so professional all year in the VFL, took the criticism on the chin and worked on his game. He, along with Watts, probably have had more role changes in their career than anyone on our list. These things take time, and for him to come on half way through the year, play his first game in a new role, with the team playing a different style, and rack up 32 meaningful touches, is a brilliant effort. He well and truly deserves to play his 100th next week. We forget how much we ruined his development by making him captain when this club was on the brink of extinction. The weight this guy had to carry around, while also managing injury after injury. I hope he has a wonderful 100th, and I hope the boys get up and win for him. He really does deserve it!

Here's a nice change, a win against St Kilda.

You generally get better with time when you haven't played all year and it's your first game back.

He was good defensively. Took some good marks. His ball use is dodgy, especially by foot. Will definitely play next week especially with Oscar likely to miss with an ankle injury.

To a loss, because we are stuffed from this game and we can't play at Etihad or beat St Kilda. On the plus side, we finally beat a team coached by that smug boring arsewipe Lyon.

Great return game. Couple of dodgy kicks, but he worked hard and his tackling and ball use overall was very strong. If you aren't bias, his game is as good as any game we got from Bugg this year. I'm thrilled for him!

Please. All year we've talked about getting a 4 quarter effort. If ever we were going to get that, it should be today. We dominated a half and totally lost the plot in this quarter. Its not good enough to let a team you've dominated a sniff at a win. It's just not acceptable.

These NT games are [censored]. I'm so unhappy that we are in a position where we have to keep giving up these games for cash. Not only do they take it out of you, thereby ensuring you lose the following week, we don't even have a smidge of a home advantage up here.

FFS this is poor. We have no idea how to shut a game down. Instead we've given Freo a sniff and with two men down, it's very possible. Really disapponting.

A disappointing quarter to be honest. Hopefully Oscar is ok because we are already half a man down with Vince on limited output.

Boundary umpires are woeful today!

Terrible positioning there. We had extra players and they still got the mark and goal. We should be so far ahead. It's a frustrating game to watch.

I just don't feel comfortable no matter how far ahead we are. Case in point.

He's going thru the warm up. To be fair I don't think we should risk him. Rest him up forward and if the gap is still large going into the last, give him the 4th quarter off.
