What was the point of this tidbit? Is Ralph suggesting that only indigenous players can offer each other support? 🙄

His real manager must have been thrilled 🫣

An external review is the only legitimate review. You cannot review yourself. If we don’t get somebody external to conduct a review from top to bottom, then we are just doing a half arsed job for optics

Oh for goodness sake where do people come up with this [censored]? 🙄🙄🙄

Sorry @Demonland

Which bay is your reserved seat in? We have had seats in M50 for well over a decade. We are always surrounded by the same people more or less. I do tell security frequently to remove people who are opposition fans from the area, and they do. They're very slack however with checking who is going into the bay unless the game is a sell out. I got 20+ Pies fans kicked out in Round 24 and have spoken to the club previously about asking the MCC to provide better security for home games versus Pies for this exact reason.

Once again, the leaking boat has forced our hand. Whoever leaked this story 2 weeks out from the end of the H&A season needs to be shot

Nibbler just asked to get back to SA. He only nominated Adelaide today because Adelaide has shown the most interest and both clubs have presumably reached an 'in principle' agreement. Look for this to be done and dusted early in the trade period, allowing both clubs to focus on other trades. This is how good clubs and good players/managers do business.

She is an absolute doll!!! Kozzie and Ardu should go into modelling. They can give Jacinta and Buddy and run for their money!

If we suspected that to be the case, we would have traded him for unders to the club of his choice. Will he ever be the same player again? Well that remains to be seen. I think his ego would certainly drive him to try. He will play again though.

If there’s one thing I think we can all agree our club does exceptionally well, is promote indigenous relationships. We’ve been really strong and proactive in making this happen under the leadership of Matty Whelan. Homesickness is undoubtedly a big issue for Kozzie, and one that I’m sure we are well aware of and working on fixing. I hope we give him all the support he needs in the off season, pre season and even throughout the season, to get home wherever possible. I also have no doubt it’s something we discussed when he re-signed only last year for 4 years. When his mother passed away early on in his career, he was given extra time away from the club to spend in SA where he proved he can be trusted to keep up his fitness. I’m confident we can work out an arrangement where the same happens for part of this pre season. Losing Kozzie has to be the absolute last resort after every other avenue has been explored.

Max has never been and will never be a hard line leader. This is not his style, in fact, I think the days of hard line leaders are numbered. As you get more and more millennials in positions of seniority, you will see more and more leaders who have high levels of EQ and very little desire to be a “you do as I say or else” type of leader. If you told me 3 months ago that it might be time for new leadership, and that Max deserves to enjoy the remaining years of his career without the burden of the captaincy, I would have agreed. In fact, I’m sure I wrote exactly that a little while back. However, what is very clear after the last two weeks, is that more than anything our playing group needs unity. And nobody does unity better than Max, because nobody has the ability to connect with all types of personalities as well as Max does, whether it’s a disgruntled senior player or a second year kid. He needs to remain captain in 2025 and see the unification of purpose within the playing group through. If he can’t make it happen, I’m afraid nobody can. And having said all of that, what any of us thinks is absolutely irrelevant. Players vote on who they would like their captain to be. Only time will tell us if what we see standing on the outside looking in, is a reflection of the playing group’s thoughts or merely our own.

Was sitting next to Geelong players tonight 👀 @TomMorris you’re up

So, Christian Petracca who has played football for 10 years, is better than the Melbourne Football Club who has stood proudly for over 150 years, having invented this game, pioneered the women’s league and had countless other champion players, some of the greatest players of all time in fact, because he has a bigger social media following than our club? Can someone turn Demonland off and on again? We need a reboot.

Why exactly are you anti Gawn?

OOC vs 5 years left on contract
-
You’re welcome to DM me but Demonland has asked time and time again not to name certain people in public. I have nothing to apologize for. He is a great player and I’m glad he’s staying. Just because I don’t like how he’s gone about it doesn’t mean I don’t want him sticking around and helping us get better and back into contention.

Mate you’ve been here 5 months. Go take a hike or put me on ignore. I give negative [censored] about what you do or don’t believe.

And focus on getting Kosi all the support he needs and wants. We can absolutely not afford to lose him.

I’m trying to justify nothing. Everything I’ve said about Trac trying to promote his brand is 100% correct and my information doesn’t come from the media. I have actual sources because believe it or not, I work in a similar field. I have 0 issues with Trac raising concerns and never once said I do. I have many issues with his concerns being leaked to the media in an attempt to try to force our hand to trade him. I have issues with the fact that leaking this info to the media has caused issues within the playing group. I have issues that our club needlessly was dragged through the mud again for issues that needed to be kept in house. I have only respect for leaders who demand better. I just don’t want them to do it publicly as ultimately it only hurt the club and caused unnecessary distraction.
-
The point I’m making, which you’ve completely missed in your ramblings, is that the truth doesn’t matter only perception matters. I said plenty of times before that we have no more or no less issues than any other club. What we do have, is an inability to control the narrative. It is damaging to be in the news constantly for all the wrong reasons. I too believe we can bounce back next year, but we have work to do in all areas to get there and that includes our comms. Don’t believe me? Listen to Gawn discuss this very issue yesterday.

I appreciate Trac putting an end to this before my birthday. Very considerate of him.
