  1. That's the million dollar question. I am fairly certain either his or Bella's family have a property in Noosa, which makes the lure to the GC make sense. I really have no idea why SA would appeal, unless he has some opportunities lined up with his social media work around Barossa for example. I also don't think that success at either GC or Adelaide is anymore promised than it is at Melbourne. Perhaps Hawthorn is still his ultimate hope, but again, knowing what we want in return means he understands the likelihood of that happening is low. All in all nothing about this trade makes sense to me. I would think a new line coach, senior coach, CEO and president is a pretty damn good fresh start for a player.
  2. These are not different to the issues we face with Trac tho. Which club wouldn't take him if he was a free agent? Likewise if Clarry was OOC there would be suitors lining up. The issue around Trac's massive salary, and what we want in return, are not dissimilar to the issues around trading Oliver. Yes Trac comes with 'good boy' packaging, but finding a suitable trade is not easy either, which is why he stayed last year, and why he may well have to stay again this year.
  3. His commitment to the club is because he understands how much the club has done for him, and he wants to repay them for all they've done for him. It has nothing to do with no interest elsewhere. He absolutely would have interest from other clubs at the right price.
  4. I tend to not make uneducated opinions based on nothing but my own frustrations and failures to become a successful footballers like some on this site. I also donโ€™t suffer from small d!(k energy and feel the need to big note myself and my thoughts. I know that Whitford comes highly regarded within the industry, and I donโ€™t feel the need to take a dump on someone who hasnโ€™t even started in their role. If there is evidence to suggest that heโ€™s not a good choice for the role, Iโ€™d be happy to share my opinion which are based on facts, rather than speculation. Perhaps the reaction to my post suggests that most posters on this site are sick and tired of the same few making the same old tired arguments that everything we do is wrong, without a shred of evidence. Howโ€™s that for an opinion?
  5. Ah Demonland. Where you write people off in their first day on the job.
  6. Melbourne fans seem to love to pile on players who they feel no longer meet their expectations. May is on the wrong side of 30, and has battled a couple of serious injuries this year including concussion. He was asked to hold a very young defense together for most of the year, with Lever missing so many games. He was also asked to continue to play on quick small forwards, something heโ€™s just not quite capable of doing anymore at his age. Thatโ€™s hardly surprising. He is still a very good solid defender one on one. He was instrumental in many of our wins this season. And while there is definitely some cultural question marks over him, heโ€™s always represented our jumper on the field with pride. But by all means, letโ€™s discuss why we should have delisted him and kept Fullarton instead. Coz I know who I rather as backup in a final ๐Ÿ™„
  7. Unlike last year, not only has Trac not dispelled the rumours, the club has not come out and said anything either. Yes Guerra and King said heโ€™s a star player, and in our best 25, but thatโ€™s neither here nor there. Last year we were categorically saying Trac is going nowhere. I think itโ€™s time to get your head out of the sand, and realise that Trac being elsewhere next year is a very big possibility. And if you didnโ€™t see this coming after last year, then I appreciate your optimism and faith.
  8. McRae looking for a new job then?
  9. Definitely taking a leaf out of GWS' book, who are the best in the business. I am not sure if there is a new social media team, or a new direction, but so far so good. Even the caption under the latest photos of Langford from the Brownlow poking fun of Channel 7 is great. Social media is one part of a larger marketing strategy tho. We have a lot of work to do in the marketing and communication area, but social media is a great place to start as it is an easy 'win' category.
  10. Maxy with a bet each way
  11. Back to the important stuff Kosi and Ardu looking fire. Here is how to do a suit that looks cool and different but still fits the guidelines of black tie. Itโ€™s giving I have a personality! She is a perfect flawless goddess Well done team Pickett ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  12. NWM with 34 and 4 goals. BOG even in a loss, let alone when winning his side the game. Laughable vote giving. I bet Viney agrees.
  13. As was the medal he won after his rightful suspension was thrown out over a technicality ๐Ÿ™„ Cripps 2 Brownlows, Neale 2, Bont 0. Itโ€™s an outrage
  14. AFL congratulating Daicos is sickening You should apologize to Bont! He is someone who has been robbed several times.
  15. Highest ranking non midfielder if Iโ€™m not mistaken What a freak
  16. Heโ€™s a very good media performer and always well spoken and respectful. Iโ€™ll give you that. But heโ€™s a filth player and hence it brings me great joy to see him lose 3 years in a row.
  17. A win for the red head community
  18. I get the impression heโ€™s entitled. Full stop.
  19. Oh no Daicos
  20. I loved his effort in that game, but NWM single handedly won the Saints that game. He scored a perfect 10 from the coaches in that game.
  21. Coleman medallist canโ€™t crack a top 5 finish. Half back flankers rarely rate a mention, despite being some of the most influential players of the modern game
  22. If ever you needed proof that umpires have NFI that vote proves it. How does NWM not score 3 in his match winning performance is beyond me. He was so clearly the best and most influential player on the ground. Itโ€™s indisputable!
  23. Omg NWM with 2. Viney with 3. You gotta laugh.
