Olympic Stand.

To think I passed on Selwood as I thought I had too many Eagles already... Now I only have one. Been so freaking screwed by injuries.
-
Okay IWAP, it's closer than I thought...but you may have been premature on the hitouts - Naitanui out, Cox solo in the ruck...21 hitouts, and it's only midway through the 2nd term!
-
Rivers is in B&F form. Ridiculous. Long-term, TMac is the replacement, but right now no way
-
hahaha Hunting for a trade for either of Osbourne or Breust for a forward at a similar rank - I've got too many bloody Hawks

Now, I've been one of his biggest critics. I used some choice words last year and copped a blasting from RR via PM. But now, well. I'm not eating my words yet, but I've certainly selected them from the tank and I'm sending them to the chef to be cooked. But the interesting part is what he's doing. He's getting into the hard ball contest as well as playing his outside role. Sure, he's made some mistakes, but nothing like some of the terrible ones of yesteryear. He's genuinely trying to win his own ball and offer a contest. And I wonder. Morton was lost in 2011. Didn't have a clue. Got caught out of position, couldn't move with the run when we had it and offered nothing but clangers. Now he's actually getting involved, presenting an option and hitting a target. And I have to wonder. Particularly after the first game. I'm thinking Neeld has sat him down personally (not gone through Choco) and gone over the tape from that first game this year - the Richmond game, where he was so far outside it was a joke. Neeld has gone over his outside play, which wasn't bad apart from the clanger on the HFF and shown where he needs to hit the contest, and Morton now has the maturity to understand and adapt his game. He's at that perfect stage - not too soon in the system to be able to assess himself, but at the same time still malleable and adjustable. The problem is that Morton is right now our only definite outside type. Blease needs form and fitness, Sylvia too. The rest of our midfield seems to be totally inside apart from JT, who can do both but is low on confidence. Once we get some outside-ness into other types as well as the inside skill, we will be more ok.

Fitz is the answer. Seriously. Neeld prefers his 2nd ruck to go forward, clearly. Fitz knows how to ruck. He also plays forward a lot - he's kicked at least 10 this year for Casey. Martin clearly not fit I presume (not playing for Casey = not a good sign), Sellar pants and we need someone to relieve Russian. Unless we want to relive the days of the Spencil...

Going to sit on Gilbee I think. So far lost Nicoski, Embley and Harbrow, got Rischitelli out too At least I'm on track to get up over you 34 touches for Heppell, 30 for Redden and 39 for Stanton, plus Iles having a good one and Big Mitch with 21 disposals...

Morton is actually showing signs. I don't bloody believe it. I want to believe, but I don't because I don't want to have hope for him only for him to turn awful. Although...maybe he actually gets it? The other players are struggling, but the game plan has clicked for him?

Didn't know that the Australian cricket captain had a gig at the MFC. Might explain a lot... -
time for Fitz, I'm sick of SellarDoor

Just on Watts - I wouldn't be surprised to see him back, because IIRC Casey now have 2 weeks off?

I blame Jack Watts for my three essays due next week!
-
I'd love to not have an injury...I've had Embley, Nicoski, Harbrow, Rischitelli and Birchall all get hurt.
-
Bump, anyone there?
-
Honestly, the view I get from the Olympic is just as good as MCC, I don't get what all the fuss is about.
