I'd say Saad will definitely be a required player at the Saints, considering Milne may never play again and he regardless of his off field issues he is 33. Ben Warren (ex-North) has been doing very well in the VFL but I'm not sure if he is more of a lead up forward rather than the crumber we need.

I'd say that the fact that Harry has gone through all that and has still become such a successful person would blow your argument out of the water mate. He is clearly very tough in the mind and has had to deal with a lot more than most.

The young players that need game time are the ones who are performing well. Davis hasn't done much to impress so I don't think he deserves game time in the firsts and it doesn't look like he'll be part of the future.

Jamar is worth little on the table but quite a bit to us. He provides good leadership, games experience and most importantly experience for Gawn and Fitz to wax off. He should be retained for the duration of his contract and he is still a good contributor on field.

I'd say Clark has the A grade talent, just has to stay on the field. I also think our overall performance over the last couple of years will be more of a factor in determining whether we get a PP than a lack of star players, though the issues are obviously related.

Not a chance, especially so with a forward line of Clark, Dawes, Watts and Howe to keep him company. That is definitely a positive though.

I agree but one of those things is not his speed. One particular contest I noticed was in our pocket when Trenners was running for the ball with three Swans in pursuit. He was agonisingly slow and they reached him easily, he just got the ball. However he then got it off to someone, got it back and slotted a great goal so maybe his lack of pace isn't so bad.

I thought our pressure was really good and we forced them to blaze away a number of times. That contributed heavily to their points, as well as Tippett's rubbish set shot action.

Two of those three were gifted from clear frees that weren't given, one being the Tippett holding-the-ball one. Could have ended up a bit closer than it was.

I think we'd have much more of a chance of picking up Griffen from a side on the way down compared with peeling a player away from Sydney. Who in their right mind would want to leave the best club in the AFL, even if they were just a fringe player? They haven't traded away a half decent player in a long time and good luck trying to entice someone away with money.
