  1. I know sarcasm isn't conveyed well over written word but surely, that is sarcasm.
  2. Pretty much sums him up to a tee. If we could get him reasonably of course he would add a lot to the midfield but I wouldn't want to be trading away a first rounder for Vince.
  3. There's never been anything wrong with anything at the MFC for the last hundred years according to you. Fitzy's kicking action is very suspect viewing it - he has a very high ball drop which looks pretty ungainly, but it seems to work for him, at least with his set shots.
  4. Going by recent form, I think you can lock us in for a win against GWS.
  5. I think there are at least two other threads floating around from the last couple of weeks though...
  6. Can't we just forget about Cale Morton? Why is there a need to start a thread every time he gets a game with the Eagles?
  7. Don't get me wrong, I completely agree that he is far below a pass mark, I just think there are legit reasons for it unlike other players. I still believe his AFL career is absolutely in the balance - if he doesn't lift very soon he could be trade bait or no longer required. I do hope he gets there though.
  8. Agree, I believe it goes back to when he broke his ankle badly just after he was drafted. He would have missed a huge amount of crucial training and acclimatisation to AFL footy.
  9. He's still far too inconsistent and just floats in and out of the game. He was really starting to show something in the way of regularly contributing late last season, wonder where that went?
  10. Reminded me of Chippa's chase of Lewis Jetta a few years ago, obviously we won that game but it was good to see something similar. Maybe the pace is coming back to him, slowly but surely.
  11. Don't agree. Craig will be judged not on wins this year but the mark of improvement each game, which has been good so far. There is no way we will win the next three in a row and the powers that be will know this. If you think Gold Coast is a 50/50 you are kidding yourself. I expect a win against GWS and obviously good contests against the other two but I don't think three wins will be a requirement for Craig at all in regards to him coaching next season, especially considering the basket case that he has inherited and the damage caused by Neeld that he has to right.
  12. Good point about the Hanley chase. Trengove can be slow but Hanley is one of the quickest blokes in the league and Trenners stayed with him the whole way, close enough to put pressure on him that caused Hanley to fumble.
  13. Judged too softly by who? Because if you think it has been judged too softly by Demonland members, you must be reading a different site. Virtually every player has been shredded on occasion here.
  14. Don't think KC is available for updates this week mate. Score is Casey 3.3.21 to Essendon 0.1.1 according to live scores on sportingpulse. http://www.sportingpulse.com/comp_info.cgi?c=1-118-0-253880-0&pool=1&round=0&a=ROUND
  15. WYL, I disagree with your view on the votes because I think Trengove did play quite well last night. However he has obviously struggled a bit this season and I think for that reason, as well as the way Grimes handles himself and performs in comparison, a change should be made in leadership next season. Trengove should not be axed entirely but my ideal setup would be Grimes as stand alone captain with a leadership group of Dawes, Trengove, Jones, Clark and Garland (maybe add/take out a couple from that). Two vice captains should be picked from that group. Trengove does need to forget about the captaincy for at least a year and focus on his game, that's my view anyway.
  16. No doubt Craig will have a good chat to Jimmy this week about the game and I'd trust Craig's influence on him to be very positive and encouraging. Choco would probably work wonders with him if he ended up at the club for next season. The emotion that he showed after he had been subbed was good to an extent because it showed he cared but he can't show that emotion all the time or he'll be targeted on field (and of course on Demonland), so he has to work on that and get it right. Absolutely no doubt about the ability, just has to believe in himself and build up his confidence.
  17. I think most of them did. Brisbane kept breaking ours, far too easily so maybe they thought they could do the same. What I saw last night was that we kept failing to pin the arms, therefore the Lions players were able to get off a clean handball way too easily or break the tackle. I also think Dunn was pretty solid down back. Disposal was still iffy but he did pretty well to clear it often and was a cool head.
  18. How about hiring 3 specialist coaches who teach only kicking and two for handball ing? And maybe a guy who can teach them the basics of running. Maybe then we'd go somewhere.
  19. If our disposal skills weren't at the level of under 14's, we would have been all over them. Bloody annoying.
  20. It seemed only yesterday that Khawaja was a young, up and coming gun. Now he's 26 and hopeless. Where's George Bailey at the moment?
  21. Has some really good attributes, size, kicks goals and has some good pace at times. He does seem to be having a lot of trouble with injuries though. Tynan, nfi about him. Has he been injured?
  22. Hopefully Siddle and Harris can start to dig us out of that hole tonight. Then we need some sort of miracle to chase down the 400 (at least) that we'll probably be chasing.
  23. Seems like Neita at least is level headed at the moment.
