I went to school with Caddy and he has always been a good size. I can't speak for the other boys but my view is that they just draft blokes that have bigger frames and are bigger bodied 18 year olds than what we draft.

Let's not get too carried away yet, remember once upon a time it was 'Morton, Scully and Trengove who were going to be stars'. Let's not burden them with that tag yet.

That's exactly why we need an experienced senior coach, someone who has been in footy a long time and knows the trends, can anticipate change and adapt quickly. Thank God it looks as though we'll get one this year.

It's funny that only a couple of years ago, the key stat was 'Contested Possessions'. Neeld kept trying to get us to play a game following that trend and it didn't get us anywhere, he clearly wasn't moving with the times. But I bet we'll be back to a contested ball focus in a couple of years.

I think a positive we can take out of this match is that England's reliability on Anderson has really been exposed. Once he went off last night they couldn't buy a wicket. Finn has bowled terribly, Broad been up and down and not looking very dangerous for the most part and Swann was fairly ineffective, even on the last day. Now we just need our batsmen to master Anderson and stop getting themselves out and we'll be apples.

Definitely a bit worrying, you'd think if there was positive news there'd be no reason to hold it back but all reason to keep negative stuff quiet.

I just hope we have more sense than to rush him back. No point in bringing him back this season (possibly prematurely), keep him on ice for next season when he will be back to full strength and dominant as ever, as long as there are no permanent lasting effects from th injuries.

It's amazing how the attitude towards him has changed so much in a few weeks. Just a few rounds ago people were calling him soft and some even saying he was another dudded pick. I didn't see the game Saturday but from all accounts he played very well and the stats show the same. Coming along very nicely I think.

It really would be amazing if Roos turned it down - there is a guarantee of no failure as the AFL will not let us slip away, it's all up from here with the AFL's backing and Roos will be getting the accolades when we are back in the finals. On top of that a huge salary and a chance to mould a young list with potential should see Roos accept the offer. I hope, but I could be completely wrong. If it all fails and he turns us down I'm sure we'd get somewhere with Craigy.

Sensing a little bit more respect to be earned back this week with a good performance at the cattery on the back of these guys' hard work. Great job Jonesy, Sylvia and Howie!

Is he really? We should absolutely be having a really good go at Betts, is arguably the best small forward in the league and fills all our needs in a little bloke to crumb to all the talls.
