    There's more in it for sure, I don't think they'd be so unproffesional to sack him on a whim. We won't know for sure whether Roos is coaching or not until appointments are made. I'd expect Lions will be into talks with Eade and Choco too, or maybe have locked away someone like Laidley or Mark Harvey.

    Good bloke but has done nothing to indicate that he'll be a good addition as an assistant.

    Neeld will be an excellent addition as an assistant coach for any team. Look at what he did with Collingwood. He clearly just wasn't ready for the senior role. He may still become a very good senior coach in the future and it's not a surprise that his services are sought after imo.

    I'd vote for Liberal if Turnbull was leader of the party however he won't be any time in the near future; he doesn't have anywhere near enough support within the party.

    He'll never be running amok, he doesn't have it in him. This is what I'd rather people realise before he is 28, has done sweet FA and is effectively Sylvia mk 2.

    Here's my view of Watts: we handled the first couple of years terribly and threw him to the wolves, particularly in his debut against the Pies. However, now he is 22 years old and a lot more talented, skillful and bigger than most of the other guys put on the field, yet he fails to show any kind of appetite for the game. He is lazy, lacks any kind of intensity or aggression. The onus must now be on him as he is no longer a kid - I just don't think he has the drive and is in a similar mould to Sylvia. If he can't find the will in himself to get better and play harder, I'd be happy let him go for the right price. The decider for me was one second Nathan Jones was saying how we have to lift this club from the inside, I want to do that etc, nek minnit Jack comes out and says he'll wait for the coach to see if he wants to stay and tries to hold the club to ransom. Jones is the guy Watts should aspire to be.

    Rockliff, hell yes. He is a fantastic player but if pick 2 was involved, we'd definitely have to be getting something substantial back with him. I don't see the Lions letting him go without a fight though - if he leaves their midfield will go downhill fast. Is he out of contract?

    The fact that we couldn't draft a player that had a bit of both sides still annoys the hell out of me.

    How could Brisbane even come close to our offer without the AFL's backing and with a huge debt? Has Roos stated anything about his motivation to coach and whether money is a big factor?

    I think he would be the kind of guy who might be a bit of a negative off field. Reeks of arrogance and his attitude seems to be poor - remember that fight he was in a couple of years ago at a music festival?

    Don't agree with that - if they are kicking enough goals they don't have to be able to run through the middle. If you have more than one playing then at least one would have to be able to rotate through, yes. He'd be a valuable pick up as a player, we can look for leaders elsewhere.

    Not just that, is playing well through the midfield at the moment too.

    Not a rumour but we should have a big crack at Stokes from Geelong if possible - unrestricted FA. 28 and could add a bit for a couple of years.

    Hopefully this can have a positive spin - he may want it more. I would have had Choco ahead of Eade but if this is actually true, he'll be a good get. We'll add a strong coaching panel to support him as well I'd think.

    I'd struggle to process us winning more than 3 games at this stage

    It would have to be, they wouldn't let him do it after the Neeld fiasco and announcing earlier this season that they wouldn't let anyone interview until the end of the season. It's fair enough too, if we were in the race for the finals I'd want all staff 100% focussed on our campaign.

    My bet for this rumour would be Worsfold, who wouldn't be such a bad pick up although I think Choco would be a better candidate.
