  1. The way I see it is, he has to be right at least once about something.
  2. I think you'll find this concept on a few other threads already, just sayin
  3. I would definitely have Gary Ayres and Laidley on that list, at reasonable odds too.
  4. We've been looking for excuses for a long, long time.
  5. I believe that he came out and said that it would take 3 years to get the players fitness levels up to where they need to be to compete with other teams. The rest is my own opinion, as I stated. Misson is supposed to be an elite fitness guru/trainer or what have you so if he can't get them up to speed, I'm not sure if there are many others who could.
  6. He outlined a three year plan and we should wait for the end of that before judging him I think (does this sound familiar?). I'm hoping it's a case of working on the endurance first and getting the miles into the legs, then maybe stripping it back focussing on burst fitness and explosive running this preseason.
  7. As exciting as that would be, I'm afraid not. It was at the Grand Central Hotel, Brisbane.
  8. I'm not one for wild rumours but my old man is up in Brisbane at the moment for work and believes he saw Craig up there on Monday night.
  9. I'd like to divide the list into steady/slightly improved players and big improvers. Steady players are the ones who form the basis of the team, the structure and reliability. These will be senior players. The big improvers will mostly be younger players though I'd like to hope that there are one or two middle tier players that lift big. It's the big improvers that I think will lift the team. You're only as good as your worst 6 players. Steady: Nathan Jones Colin Garland James Frawley Chris Dawes Mitch Clark Jack Trengove Jack Grimes Colin Sylvia Big Improvers: Jack Viney Jimmy Toumpas Dean Kent Jesse Hogan Jack Fitzpatrick Max Gawn Matt Jones Mitch Clisby Tom McDonald **Jeremy Howe - Howe's development has been retarded a bit the second half of this season. I think he is an interesting case. He may improve a lot or drop off but he isn't one of our steady players I think. Hoping for a big year for him next season. If I haven't named a player I consider them fringe players or just so/so (or I may have missed them).
  10. There's not much 'footy' to discuss. I haven't seen us play this thing you call 'footy' for a long time.
  11. I have a soft spot for Dunn because he always has a crack and has a bit of aggro about him. He's a very good niggler - always rated the player who gives the best sledge in the Record player profiles. I'd get rid of quite a few before him, especially considering his age and the lack of players we have around that age group.
  12. I've heard good things about this bloke, also a good mate of my sisters partner! Has had a good year in the VFL so far.
  13. A few more Terlich/Matt Jones, a few talented 18 year olds and a couple of very solid to very good players from other clubs and some serious bonding as a team, we'll be peaches.
  14. Yes I'm sure Neil Craig will no longer be considered for the coaching role because Demonland members disagree with his team selections. I was looking forwards to seeing Magner and Taggert in too but the fact is that we don't really know what goes on inside the club, he does so I'd be backing him to be making a much better informed decision than anyone on here.
  15. Onya Judy, admire the attitude greatly. Keep up the good work, 100 games well deserved.
  16. We should take it easy with the slower clearance kings in this draft. Yes we lack a couple of mids who can win a lot of clearances at the stoppages but we are also severely lacking in outside pace and good disposal, so a balance is definitely needed.
  17. Going by your photo, you aren't a very approachable person BBO.
  18. Onya Fitzy, stick it up all the haters. Well deserved. This also could be taken as an indicator that Watts will be traded, as the surplus tall forward. If you want to look at it that way.
  19. I'm sure someone's approach in the ring has a very strong correlation with their approach on matchday. I definitely wouldn't want to get in there with Clark anyway.
  20. Hopefully Watts was off screen in that photo of Mitch lining up the right hook
  21. One of the best to watch, thanks for all the great memories and the humility flash. Comes across as a fantastic guy with his priorities in the right order, all the best for the future.
