Just made the scariest bet ever with a diehard Carlton Supporter: If Jack Watts stays at Melbourne he has to wear a Melbourne Jumper with Number 4 on the back to Melbourne vs Carlton next year. If Jack Watts leaves and goes to Carlton then I have to wear a Carlton jumper with number 14 on the back. Please Jack don't let me down!! I couldn't take having to wear that scummy jumper to the footy!!!

Scott Pendlebury struggled to break into the Collingwood side playing only 9 games and averaging 13 disposals in his first year. Dane Swan managed just 16 games in his first 2 years, averaged less than 12 disposals. Gary Ablett played 12 games in his first year for an average of 8 disposals per game. Eade's coaching stats: Took the Swans to 5 Finals series in 7 Years including 1 GF (54% winning record) Took the Dogs to 4 Finals series in 7 Years including 3 Prelims (55% winning record) His first year at the dogs they just missed the finals (9th) after less thsn 5 wins in the previous two years. I kind of like the fact he hasn't won a flag, he'll have the burning hunger we need!!

Yarran would be a great get, he is a quality player. It's just that Watts is better now and has potential to be FAR better in the future.

Watts has better foot skills, a better mark, a bigger frame and FAR more potential upside than Yarran. Plus he is arguably our most marketable player.... kids love him. A swap for Yarran would be a terrible decision.
