Some well balanced and thought out posts on this thread. Refreshing reading after I was pretty p*ssed yesterday. One thing that does do my head in is that we never seem to kick to a forward on a lead, it’s always long and high to a contest. Mitch was able to deal with this okay, but 9 times out of 10 this is a defenders dream and the ball is smashed to the boundary. Whatever happened to leading hard and putting the ball into space to run into? Essendon are doing it beautifully at the moment and Hurley is reaping the rewards.

I'm sure their opinion will change once the paychecks stop arriving, which is a very likely situation for a number of them at year’s end. I wouldn't think a number of media opportunities would present themselves for players that are no longer respected in their industry. And as for financial contacts met within the MFC, unlikely to be presented to players who don't give a toss about the club. These players are doing more damage to themselves than just destroying their reputation.

Disagree. The CEO can only do some much for the business side of the club. The football department / players must take responsibility for the rot they are putting out each week. The administration can do the best job in the world but it won't mean anything if the players have no pride in themselves and respect for the club and its supporters.

Going by your logic Richmond should trade Vickery, the dogs should trade Ace Cordy and Rhys Stanley would be gone from St Kilda.
