In the mean time, it would be really useful to get games into Viney when he's over his injury. He'll improve outa sight next year with a couple of good, experienced mids alongside him and another top 5 pick mid. Imagine Matt Jones, Viney, Toumpas in their 2nd year, with Nate Jones, 2 experienced mid recruits (eg Daisy and Dal Santo as suggestions only) and a new top 5 pick (eg Aish, Sheed, etc). Getting a bit ahead of myself, but there is light showing in the tunnel.

While I liked Watts' game and he's developing better under Craig, he still regularly jogs alongside opponents who have the ball. Little defensive pressure, not a lot of intensity. Compare that to Fitz who ran hard at everyone in red n white who had the ball. However, the Jack Watts silky skills are great to watch when he's on a roll.

Breakout game from Jack. Needs to back it up with another solid one next week. May look a bit clumsy and startled at times, but improving with every game.

Some interesting stats... Kicks: Melb 215, Sydney 198 Marks: 125, 60 Tackles: 61, 59 Cont marks: 14, 7 Centre clearance: 5, 24. We need a midfield desperately.

They seem to get many of the difficult to see ones right, but completely fail on the blatantly obvious ones or those that are in no way there. Sponsored by OPSM! Oh the irony.

Speaks volumes for Neeld that Fitzy spent week after week doing well in the VFL but couldn't be picked in the seniors.
-
Still raw and clumsy, but it's amazing what a number of consecutive games can do for Fitzy's confidence. Having a real crack. good on him. But that 45deg kicking at goal is plain ridiculous.

Engage brain, please. BP, gone. Harrington, gone. Couch ahead of Toumpas? Bwahhhhahhhhahhh!

Great endeavour by the boys so far. Lacking a lot of polish. Would like an extra $1 mill in salary cap to match the Swans.

Liam Anthony, Kyal Horsley or Taylor Adams

Crazy talk. Have you followed footy for long? -
Isn't he the 'young' brother that was with his dad at the queens bday clash a few years ago when that Filth supporter tried to pick a fight? Zac would surely have developed an extreme hatred of the Filth as a result. That must give him some determination not to be selected by them!

I thought Harrington was the list manager... ie, he manages contracts and the TPP so that we don't go over the cap. I'm not aware he was involved in making decisions about drafting or trading, except where money or contracts are concerned. Was that not BP's responsibility? -
Get a grip and don't put word into others mouths BBB. No one said "just like that", except you. It may not be easy but it can be done. We got 2 quality KPFs through trading. Three if you include Hogan. There is no reason why we cannot do it for a quality mid or 2. Sheedy watched the match on Sat night and said he saw a number of players the Giants would consider chasing. He may have been talking of us or the Bulldogs, but it means we might have players they want. That is, trade bait. And BTW, everyone pays overs for good FAs, such as Goddard and possibly Buddy. Unfortunately, we have only payed overs for dud FAs, so far.

Best available any day. Draft for talent, trade for need. If that is Boyd, take him. If is Sheed or Dunstan or Aish, so be it. We trade or FA for some quality mids such as Daisy, Adams or Anthony. We have a good back line, a good forward line. We need mids that have experience, are high quality and are ready to hit the ground running. Put those three mids in our line up next year with Roos or Williams as coach and we are a vastly improved side.

Not disagreeing with you about his injuries keeping him off the park DD36, but during Dylan's draft year his injuries were unknown. I have a number of very astute Richmond supporting mates (I know, that sounds impossible) who are grateful that we overlooked Dylan. They say he is a player who makes their backline more complete when he's not injured. Once they clear up, I feel he will be a very good player for the Tigers. While we are not a charity, I believe a younger brother will often lift his level of performance when playing alongside his sibling. Especially when the older one is as well respected as Nathan. If its a choice between two draftees of reasonably similar ability, I'd go the brother. I certainly hope he is as hard working as Nathan. Good luck to him regardless of where he goes.

Keep your pants on, its just a suggestion. Hogan played a lot of time key back in WA. Killed it doing so. Jonno Brown would've been a star playing any key position, back or forward. I don't buy that 'Mitch is on one leg' line. If he was, the club would arguably trade him out, which they won't, of course. We are planning ahead to put the best team on the park, even though we are yet to do that. Or should we plan ahead for Mitch being on one leg?
-
Draft for talent, trade for need. Hogan at CHB, Mitch to help in ruck with Gawn and maybe Fitzy or (dare I say it) Spencer for depth. Trade Jamar to GWS for one of their homesick mids. Forwards - Dawes, Mitch, Boyd and Watts roaming as 3rd or 4th tall, if he wants to stay. Howe on wing or high HF, drifting forward. Remainder of picks used for high rating mids - Dunstan perhaps. Daisy as FA. ...then I wake up from my dream.

Sign Jesse Hogan up for 5 years (Suns and Jack Martin)

Absolutely I would. My competative side would be itching to get out there and contribute to the team that wants me so much. My mail is he is very happy at the MFC, especially the faith the FD have in him, wants Neeld to stay and is waiting to see before extending. -
Keep Garry Lyon out of this BBO!

Need to keep the three tall forwards on the park at the same time for many weeks to achieve that fear. We are struggling with Dawes and Clark ATM. -
Weren't you at the game, indeed. If my memory serves me correct, you said you weren't going to the game and didn't plan on going until we played better. Did you go, Fair Weather Ben? If not, you look very stupid putting attendance as a prerequisite for having footy knowledge.
