Ah yes, "diem vesper commendat".

Bitty is right (for once) you are pathetic. You speak like a Filth supporter.
-
Bitty I'm shocked if that's how highly you think of the Cowgirl.
-
Had a few Bitty? You're slurring your typed words

Would be more interesting if they had to bounce a sherrin as they ran.

A few years ago that construction would have been an upgrade from the Junction Oval facilities.

If we get pick 3 as compo for Silv leaving I will bare my rrse in Bourke St and sing Its a Grand Old Flag at the top of my voice. Not. Going. To. Happen.

Geez, imagine if we get Dawes and Mitch to play 22 games each in 2014 and Hogan plays 12-15. We need them on the park big time.

When Do We Find Out About the Priority Pick?
Moonshadow replied to Grimseyisgod's topic in Melbourne Demons
Not much in that article actually relates to the PP examples that the AFL used when announcing the new re-jigged guidelines. There is an appalling lack of due process, consistency and transparency in the AFL's decision making. They make it up as they go along according to who lobbies the hardest and what decision will be most easily digested by clubs. -
GREED AND ALTRUISM RULES THE AFL OVER DRAFT ASSISTANCE
Moonshadow replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Geez, this type of cheap article from the official AFL website gets on my goat. Sounds just like the usual AFL method of easing the general public into what is likely to happen. Next thing, Wilson will come out with an article in the minuscule Age tomorrow saying "sources close to the AFL" have indicated that we will get pick 20 as a PP, instead of for pick 1 as requested. Since when have any of the points raised in the AFL article been part of the witch doctor formula that now determines a PP? Either they have a set of guidelines or they do not. The examples raised when they re-jigged the PP all apply to us, regardless of the AFL commission's discretionary veto. As I've said before, I'm guessing that the commish will use their dislike for the particular shade of red on our jumper as a reason, such is their appalling lack of due process and transparency. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DANIEL CROSS

So why the hell put DRod on the senior list if he was there for training? Maybe one of those pathetic line assistants would have been a better role for him. -
A number of very passionate swans supporting friends of mine (who are also involved in large sponsorship deals with them) have said to me that Roos was great at getting a good team of assistants together and delegating the work, but sometimes struggled on match day. Essentially, they claim that his assistants should have taken more credit for their GF victory in 05 instead of solely Roos, and that his game plan was inflexible. People such as Horse and Lyon are part of the strength of his legacy. I'd have no problem with him assembling a similar team at the Dees and delivering GF success. I believe Roos will be more of a people manager and teacher at the Dees and might be more inclusive on match day, in terms of assistants, which is where the succession plan fits in.

GREED AND ALTRUISM RULES THE AFL OVER DRAFT ASSISTANCE

I'd think they will help Essendon in some way if that were to occur. They have to field a side in 2014 to fulfil AFL broadcasting obligations and with a dozen missing, that may prove difficult. And, of course, there's been the article in the Oz that claims life bans are in motion. Perhaps they could take on board a bunch of aged discards, such as Chappy, Corey, Cross, to fill the places. Or they pick the eyes out of their non contract VFL players. Whatever happens, it will be a very interesting 2014 for the Bombers. -

That sounds likely. Or perhaps they slot in a PP where Messendon's first pick would have been, about 12. -
Oh, but Cuz only overtook sleeping pils at Tigerland, didn't you know ADC? Lol!

It's easy for the media, et al to have a go at us. We have so few supporters we are soft targets. Sustained success, that's what is needed to grow our supporter base and increase our influence on the competition.

Opened that link and saw a Melbourne post with Kate Upton as profile pic followed by a scathingly arrogant comment directed at another poster Gee, who could that be?

Which ex Demon players would we want back
Moonshadow replied to Dees2014's topic in Melbourne Demons
If he was on Buddy or Roughy you could say he had influence on the game. Hale should've kicked at least 4, he missed easy set shots. Rivers influence was negligible. Wonder if the ankle knock last week hobbled him at all. -
Different draft and different type, but Zak looks a much better prospect than Dylan.
