  1. Sent a text to Freo claiming he doesn't have a FB account. Not retuning calls though. Shane Yarran's spray at Freo
  2. Not yet confirmed by the AFL, however, only claimed by The Age journo John Pierik. I couldn't find any quote from AFL house which said it would come off their first pick and not later picks. I'm hoping the former is the case.
  3. What about the double fister over the boundary from a marking 'contest' as compared to a deliberate paddle? I think at some point they will further trial a variation of the last person who touched it rule
  4. Related to the sport 'farnarkling'
  5. Please god let's not trade with Collingwood ever again
  6. All the other players were at the Heretier farewell function
  7. Agreed. With a full preseason, Salem will be a major weapon in our midfield. Hibberd will play back. With Hunt, Jetta, Frost, TMac, OMac that could be the mainstay of our back six, though Hunt may get more midfield time. Some of our mids could rotate through there if needed, such a Jones, Vince and Milkshake. Wagner will have benefitted from a full preseason and track watchers have said Garland is looking fit (perish the thought), rounding out backline depth.
  8. I'm not going to get into an arguement with you saty, because you know that's not what I meant. If you think that Hogan's stutter set shot routine in 2016 was fine, can I assume that you are telling him and the coaches that he should not change and go back to it? Geez, round 1, 2017 cannot come quick enough.
  9. Fortunately Lynch didn't dob a goal with his last kick against us earlier this season. As Maxwell Smart would say, missed it by that much! IMO 99.9% of people are not claiming the sky is falling in regards to Hogan's set shots, many believe a smoother approach and action might result in better accuracy. This looks to be happening at training of late. The coaches will be well aware of what he's doing. Jesse is young and will refine what works best over the next couple of years. Posters might differ in opinion on his routine, but we all want to see him make the most of set shots.
  10. Meanwhile, over at Ninethmond, Dustin Martin gets life membership along with Alex Rance. Edit: no, Dusty doesn't get to keep Rance
  11. I sprayed beer out of my nose from laughter after reading that. Thanks!
  12. 'Biffen Pollock' Bwahahaha!
  13. How dare you Uncle Bitter. I resemble that.
  14. Brownlow medals increase in monetary value with age. Jobe's hand-back medal is notorious and may become quite the collectors item. It no longer belongs to him. He should have no ability to gain from it ever.
  15. Sam McLure in The Age saying Watson hasn't returned the medal and claims he's not sure of its whereabouts. Yeah, right. HAND IT BACK JOBE! "But after Watson decided – in his own words – to "hand it back" and the commission unanimously voted to give medals to runners-up Sam Mitchell and Trent Cotchin, the medal should have been returned. The fact that there are now three 2012 Brownlow Medals in circulation is a testament to the sheer absurdity of the situation."
  16. Don't disagree with any of this, but I think many posters fail to properly acknowledge that his primary roll was to get on the park and play well as a key forward. Some (including me) have been critical of his marking skills, but we always wanted him to be fit and ready for selection. Nice guy, good leader, tried hard. Couldn't get on the park anywhere near enough. In hindsight was he worth a first round pick? No.
  17. With Gawny planking on the roof of a passing car?
  18. Care to rephrase that Biff? Tongues will wag.
  19. I heard he's into parkour but not very good at it.
  20. How very dare you Biffen! You know Dawesy's old man runs an antique bookshop and his grandfather was a judge. Look out for the horse's head mate!
  21. Calf injury in his very first training session. Must've run over a black cat on his way there. Might been a good leader and trainer, but on the field we lost out in that trade.
