THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
Moonshadow replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in General Discussion
I think there should be no winner of the Brownlow for that year. In the (far) past of the VFL, there were breaks or gaps in awards such as the premierships due to extenuating circumstances. I'm not comparing world wars or death with a drug cheat, just that sometimes awards don't have to be awarded. -
Like the tread Ron, an excellent topic. As a slight aside, when you say "treated past players poorly" do you mean players finishing their careers, or the way we treat retired players? Because IMO the only one of those players who might have got a raw deal from us whilst a player is Junior, and even then his body was close to shot. It's important to differentiate between players who we treated poorly and players who were upset at the end of their time. I look at what happened with Jordie Lewis at the Hawks and can't remember a player who was still near their peak that we shafted. Junior might have an arguable case, though. Some might say Stef Martin, but he reached his peak at the Lions rather than with us. Back to your topic, and I believe Ingo still follows our progress, despite a successful and acceptably distracting career in women's swimsuit design.

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS

This will certainly be massaged into a win for Watson, EFC and the AFL instead of being as a result of his and his club's deplorable actions. He had no choice but to lose the medal due to being banned. It's not honourable or 'big' of him, he was banned for breaking the PED rules and carries the badge of being a drug cheat forever more. He may we'll be a nice bloke, but he, his team mates and his club have not been honest or open on this matter. -
Great nickname, Smack. And it's a no from me. I think we'll use 2 live picks in the draft and the other obviously for Wags' upgrade.

I've read good things about Rooke. I also appreciate that we have McCartney to work with our young band of coaches.

And the taste is a bonus, so I've been told.

How will that help daisy's morning glory Eth?

List analysis: What Melbourne needs

I think Spencer is a good back up should Gawn not play during the year, with Pedo as our chop out ruck/forward. Not convinced about playing both Gawn and Spencil together, but stranger things have happened. If both Gawn and Spencer go down... then we may be in a spot of bother. -
Are Cameroonians born without taste buds? Clearly there is some birth abnormalities happening in those sub artic temperatures.

Thanks for link. Agree with those saying Billy Stretch looks stronger across arms and shoulders, as does Brayshaw, from those photos. Wouldn't like to meet Maynard in a dark alley late at night either. Strong lad. -
You're such a metrosexual Eth! Can you give me some hair styling tips?

The Weed is a very smooth and so far accurate set shot. Obviously he'll take another year or two to impose himself on games, but that's something to look forward to DT. I think we need a creative small forward that can regularly make something out of very little. Garlett fits this bill if he can increase his consistency. Kent might too. KPD and ruck/fwd depth are certainly needs. Another high end mid at the end of this year would be very handy for 2018. -

I don't know about that. Remember the story about 6 yrs ago of players deciding they didn't want to do the time trial so cancelling it on behalf of the coaches? Was that Gys? -
Do your's bring all the boys to the yard?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD

He ran pretty quickly at the running of the bulls. If that's what was said, I find it humorous that an Essendrug person might expect to be taken seriously about medical prognosis. -
What a poultry story.
-
I hope he has a plan B as his guitar work is average and his voice is flat. However, that could be the halitosis affecting the mic
-
He must have the patience of an angel to move up the chain at Collingwood. Imagine trying to hold your head high dealing with Figjam, Eddie, et al. Good luck Riv!
-
That's a bit harsh Uncle Bitters. You know Biffen still harbours hope of his acoustic career taking off. Sad to see a middle aged man hanging around pubs with a guitar trying to act like he's 20 again. Next he'll be getting onto Hirdy's anti aging gear.

Assuming the Weed has a decent preseason and plays 8-12 games or more in 2017, his signature will be very important next year, along with Salem and Stretch.

Jake Barrett now a DFA. Spent a lot of time in NEAFL. Anyone know much about him and whether he's a better prospect than our last pick? http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-11-02/talented-giant-jake-barrett-on-the-table-as-a-free-agent
