Mate, who the hell knows what is rumour, half truth or full truth in these things. I agree we'll need to shore up our own talent first then trade for need. Having said that, if a guy like Kelly showed interest in us we'd be mad not to see if he and his price fit our club. I have faith in Todd Viney, Mahoney, Taylor and Jackson to maintain our list and finances within our means. We have gaps, one is a classy outside mid with leadership who can impose upon a game. IMO Kelly is that.

Norf wrote and mastered the 'Adelaide Plan'. Come out fast and hard, push the ball deep quickly. Pressure, pressure, pressure. Do not let them get on top early. Have a good lead at quarter time.

And a blast from the past... I think Alan Jackovic got to 50 goals from 9 games

Gus is one high draft pick we really need to become elite. Others are on their way, for a variety of reasons he is not. Massive talent.

My thinking has changed. Not convinced a big fish is healthy for our progress forward. Some key medium fish (May, Lever?) a couple of Lewis-like aged leaders and retention of our young guns is the key. Not Dusty, not Fyfe on inflated coin. No way.

Gotta say, this is the first year where I've thought the umpires have lost the ability to pay reasonable frees rather than guess towards howlers. They seriously have lost the plot to either pay the obvious ones or refrain from blowing the whistle on nothing much. The number of apologies each week from their head is a joke. Tough gig. The grey interpretations change monthly and we are asking them to make calls on micro second actions so of course they'll fail. On top of this we ask them to have ball skills (bounce, throw ins) and to adapt to the conditions. I agree with Hardwick - it's a tough, thankless job, not their fault... but head office needs to clarify, simplify and justify.

I'd like 2 big leadership fish. Not big fish, but LEADERS! Too many tight games lost from lack of composure and leadership.

Effectively another 8 point game when trying to fight for a finals spot. We are now 10th when we should be at least 8th, maybe 7th or 6th. Very disappointing. We lack leadership in tight games and until we overcome this we will continue to be mediocre at best

If we were to be judged by our poorest 6 we are in serious trouble. JKH, ANB, Harmes, Hannan, Milkshake, Omac, etc

Reality check. Skills too sloppy. Entries into forward 50 continue to be an issue. Potential only counts for so much. Key players go missing for too long. Unable to react and shut down influential oppo players. LACK OF LEADERSHIP IN TIGHT GAMES! Same old same old.
